On May 13, 1832, Georges Cuvier, a famous French zoologist and comparative anatomist, laid the methodological basis for paleontology by his book The Study of Fossil Skeletons of Tetrapods. On this basis, the history of the earth and life on the earth can be reconstructed, which is equivalent to filling the gap between the earth sciences and the life sciences, so he is known as the "founder of paleontology". Representative works include "The Theory of Disaster Change", "Organ-related Laws", "Natural History of Fish" and so on.
