As the commander of the 27th Army of the Chinese Volunteer Army during the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, General Peng Deqing participated in the First, Second, and Fifth Campaigns. In the Battle of Chosin Lake, Peng Deqing led his troops to annihilate the strength of the 31st Regiment of the 7th Infantry Division, the 1st Battalion of the 32nd Regiment, and the 57th Artillery Battalion of the Division, and captured more than 300 officers and men of the regiment.
The flag of the 31st Regiment of the U.S. Infantry regiment was also captured, which was the only formed unit of the U.S. Army-level unit annihilated by the Chinese Volunteers in the entire War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. After the victory in the war, Peng Deqing was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Second Class.

The Peng Deqing Memorial Hall in Jinhai Street, Xiang'an, not only contains the tearful "Polar Bear Regiment Flag"; the exhibition in the exhibition hall tells in detail about General Peng Deqing's life of arduous struggle, which runs through the period of the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and the Period of the War of Liberation; after the founding of New China, General Peng Deqing even participated in the campaigns to resist US aggression and aid Korea, liberate Yijiangshan Island, and shell Kinmen.
General Peng Deqing spent his life dealing with "mountains" and "seas", and when he was a seaman, he braved the danger of guns and bullets in the lofty mountains and mountains to kill the enemy. According to historical records, in 1821 AD, the Aotou people drove a sailing ship through Xiamen Port to Singapore, becoming China's first cargo ship directly through Singapore and the first merchant ship to open a port in Singapore; since then, the Aotou people have gone out to the ocean to open up the land, south to Taiwan, Guangdong coast, north to Zhejiang, Qinhuangdao, Tianjin and other places of the ship, are from the Aotou ancient ferry port, the round trip is frequent and prosperous.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Japanese blew up the ancient wharf when they captured Aotou, and after restoration, the wharf resumed its ferry function; but later the people of Aotou took the initiative to blow up the wharf in order to prevent the Japanese army from landing in Aotou. After nearly a hundred years of baptism of seawater, it has become the ruins of the ancient pier we see today, and we can see it at low tide when we are lucky.

Located in the prominent part of Xiang'an Bay, Aotou is across the water from Kinmen Island and Xiamen Wutong; the geographical location is dangerous, and it has been a strategic place along the coast of Xiamen since ancient times.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, the dark artillery positions built by Aotou played an important role, and the villagers of Aotou also made great sacrifices to defend their families and defend the country.

In 1926, Macau Xiangxian and Singaporean overseas Chinese Jiang Jifu founded the private Juemin Primary School in Macao, the school site was first in the Su Tingyu family's Jinshidi, and later in 1934, the European-style Western-style building "I Su Lu" was built as a school building. The three characters of "I SuLu" are inscribed by the famous Minnan scholar Hong Hongru (Hong Xiaochun), and although the meaning is "I do my own thing", it has the meaning of returning to Pu Shou.
In April 1949, the Kuomintang-Communist negotiations broke down, and the People's Liberation Army marched south. A large number of Kuomintang troops shrank to Xiamen Island, vainly trying to resist, and Aotou became a key point for transporting troops. The Working Committee of the Southwest Fujian County of the CPC saw that the Aotou Ancient Ferry Port was a bridgehead connecting Xiamen, Hong Kong, and other places with the underground party organizations in the interior of Anxi, so it used the Aotou Juemin Primary School as a cover, and many underground workers set up an underground transportation station in "I SuLu" under the cover of the school and the principal.
During the Liberation War, the leaders used the building of the Primary School of Lujuemin to recruit all teachers and senior students to participate in secret activities to propagate revolutionary ideas, train activists, and fight against the Kuomintang.
After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Jiang Xunchu, the eldest son of Jiang Jifu, reopened the Juemin Primary School here, and "I Sulu" was still used as the premises of the Juemin Primary School; even in the most difficult years of the War of Resistance, the school did not stop classes. When I came to my sulu, it was as if I could still hear the sound of Lang reading aloud from the rain of bullets and bullets.

Aotou Haiphong Cultural Center
On July 1, 2021, the Aotou Haiphong Cultural Center was officially opened, using a Macaotou outpost standing at Gudu Wharf as the carrier to tell the heroic deeds that can be sung and wept, and truly present the glorious history of the people of Aotou in resisting aggression and resisting foreign insults.

Whether it is the military defense point of the Ming Dynasty against the Wokou, the history of the coastal defense front that the Qing Dynasty continued after experiencing the "exhibition of boundaries", the defense of sea power during the War of Resistance Against Japan, the difficult struggle between the two sides of the strait, or the currently established female militia post, the Aotou Coastal Defense Cultural Center let more people remember the former coastal defense storm.
The Aotou Haiphong Cultural Center epitomizes the centuries-old coastal defense culture, making history a vivid memory, showing the imprint of the war years, and reminding people to think about the wisdom of harmony and integration.
