"Mercenary Legend 3 Battlefield Gray Wolf" is the last work of the old era Mercenary Legends trilogy, released 1 year later than the previous game (2016), and logged on the 3DS platform. The quality of the game is as good as ever, and if you like the first two games, then this one is also worth playing. Compared to 1 and 2, the difficulty of the game has not changed much, but there are a little more guidance reminders, and even words to advise players to play appropriately, which feels a lot more cordial than the previous two games.
An incomprehensible decision belonging to the prince
In the previous game, the civil strife in the western continent had just stabilized, and this time it was the turn of the southern continent to make a whole flower. When there are two ethnic groups at the same time, strife is inevitable. Our protagonist is the "Gray Wolf Mercenary Group", a mercenary hired by the Northern Continent Army, but is called "the dog of the kingdom" by the aborigines. During the mission, he encountered a small group of aborigines and clashed with them, but one of the aborigines ran away, originally thinking that it was not a big deal, but turned the prince of the northern kingdom into a meat ticket.
However, when we rescued the prince, the previous pattern seemed to change, first the prince ordered the arrest of the general who had guarded and rescued him, and then the prince returned home to inherit the throne. More shocking things followed, the prince became the new king, and he now withdrew all his garrisons, once a strong advocate of immigration.
The local indigenous people also began to riot, attacking not only the garrison, but also the settlers who had been here for a long time. All these changes seem to be related to the time when the prince was tied up, but the real outcome is beyond everyone's expectations, and a larger conspiracy is brewing behind it. This work does not have multiple endings like the previous two games, but a single ending, and there are not too many spoilers here.
The transformation brought about by a single ending
Since a single ending was selected when crafting, when the player encounters an option, the result of choosing according to the option also changes from the previous transformation ending to the current transformation teammate. This directly tells the player that you can choose one week at will, and the opposite of two weeks and one week, you will be able to collect the achievements of all the characters in the game.
