The Shanghai Postal Museum is located in the building and was officially opened to the public free of charge on January 1, 2006. The museum consists of an atrium exhibition area on the first floor and a main exhibition area on the second floor.
The main exhibition hall on the second floor covers an area of more than 1,500 square meters, and the entrance is located in the postal business hall, once known as the "first hall of the Far East", which is divided into the front hall - Zhu Xuefan, and four exhibition areas: origin and development, network and technology, business and culture, stamps and philately.
The atrium exhibition area on the first floor covers an area of 1,347 square meters, which was originally a patio and was used for automobile mail venues. The area displays models such as the Daqing postal carriage, the first postal car purchased in 1917 and the "mobile mail car", as well as the scene of the Daqing post office and the "future post" ring theater, leaving a trace of Shanghai's postal service society.
The third birthplace is securities, the most iconic of which is the Pujiang Hotel.
Pujiang Hotel, formerly known as Licha Hotel, was founded in 1846 and is the first Western business hotel in China. What does it have to do with securities?
In 1990, the Shanghai Stock Exchange was founded in Pujiang Hotel, which witnessed the birth, development and growth of the new China securities market, integrating excellent historical buildings and modern securities trading venues, with extremely rich historical heritage and cultural value.
Today, the 170-year-old buildings standing at No. 15 Hongkou North Bund and Huangpu Road have faded their hotel functions and become the only national museum in the national securities and futures industry - China Securities Museum.
Walking into the famous Peacock Hall on the first floor of the museum, what you saw was "Sunrise and River Flowers Win Fire-Exhibition of China's Capital Market Reform and Opening Up History". The exhibits in the exhibition hall are mainly stocks, futures, bonds, funds, options and other market-related collections; "A Hundred Flowers Blossom in Spring - The World and the "Belt and Road" Exchange Cultural Exhibition" was displayed in the Licha Hall on the second floor, highlighting the exhibits provided by international organizations and exchanges in various countries and regions.
There are also various exhibition halls waiting to be explored. For example, you can see that from 2000 to July 2011, more than 60 films were filmed at the Pujiang Hotel, including "Towards the Republic", "The Great Cause of Founding the People's Republic", "A River Flows East" and so on.
