At the 2023 Shenzhen conference, Huawei released the commercial AI chip, the Ascend 910, and the next-generation AI open source computing framework MindSpore. According to Huawei's rotating chairman, the Ascend 910 has two highlights: First, the Ascend 910 is currently the world's strongest computing power and fastest training AI chip, the AI computing power is twice that of the current international top AI chip, and the training speed is also 50%-100% higher than the latest and strongest chip. Second, MindSpore, the AI open source computing framework supporting the Ascend 910, is more convenient for AI scientists and engineers to use, which can meet the needs of terminal, edge computing, and cloud scenarios, and better protect data privacy.
According to data released by local portals and other websites, Huawei occupies about 79% of the market share of the overall intelligent computing center in terms of the number of construction, and is in a leading position among domestic AI chips. In addition, the application of Huawei's AI model will also drive the demand for Ascend chips, servers, and basic software.
