Huawei Mate 60 Pro is too popular, Apple's iPhone 15 series sales fell sharply year-on-year

IT House news on October 16, Bloomberg analyst research shows that Apple's latest iPhone 15 series mobile phone sales in China do not seem to be ideal.

Counterpoint Research data shows that compared with the iPhone 14 series in the same period last year, iPhone 15 series sales fell in the first 17 days after launch, and analysts estimated the decline to be about 4.5%.

For Apple, that means millions of devices less sold. Apple shares fell nearly 1% in premarket trading on the news.

Analysts pointed out that sales of Apple's new iPhone 15 in China have cooled, reflecting continued weak consumer demand and the rise of competitors such as Huawei.

Jefferies analyst Edison Lee and others said that under the influence of the unexpected appearance of the Mate 60 Pro, Huawei's overall sales have surpassed Apple, so iPhone 15 sales have fallen by double digits compared with the previous generation.

They believe that Huawei has surpassed Apple to become the best-selling smartphone manufacturer in Greater China, and predict that this trend will continue into 2024.

However, this month was not all bad news for Apple, at least the US domestic market showed a very strong sales trend.
