Zhang Ming's ending is embarrassing, due to years of fatigue and severe rheumatism, he needs to set up double crutches to walk. Even so, he resolutely participated in Jiang Wei's Northern Expedition. In 254, Zhang was besieged by the Wei general Xu Zhi's army and died in battle.
