However, at the beginning of 1949, the situation became increasingly serious, and the liberation war in Nanjing entered a white-hot stage. Faced with internal traitors, Chen Xiuliang was forced to move to Lane 85 of Zhonghua Road and continue to carry out underground work. Although she is a shareholder in the electrical industry on the outside, this strong woman is the backbone of Nanjing's underground workers.

Ying Yin - actor agent

Ying Yin, a Manchu, her father was a Manchurian nobleman. She has loved singing and dancing since she was a child, and entered the Shanghai entertainment industry to develop. He starred in many films, such as "Life and Death with One Heart" and "Cross Street", and became the star of Chinese films at that time.

After the outbreak of the 77 Incident, the Northeast fell, and Ying Yin and a group of cast members spontaneously organized a propaganda team and went to Chongqing to carry out patriotic propaganda. She later returned to Shanghai and became a member of the front line of the Anti-Japanese War, where she met Ping Zuren, a secret anti-Japanese worker of the military unification.

Yingyin and Ping Zuren's relationship quickly warmed up, but their relationship seemed to the outside world to be just a pair of lovers. In fact, Ying Yin is a secret agent who often disguises herself as a courtesan to assist in the assassination of traitors and Japanese invaders. It is reported that at least nine enemies are directly related to her.

However, Ping Zuren's identity was eventually revealed by the enemy, and he was arrested by the Japanese invaders, while Young-in was still doing acting work. In 1942, Ping Zuren was shot, and Yingyin brought his body back from the Japanese side and buried it in the Universal Cemetery. But in order to keep it a secret, she also left a cemetery next to it.

In 1941, Ying Yin left Chongqing and appeared in Shanghai shortly after. Her mysterious whereabouts sparked a series of rumors about her eloping with her lover, but Ying-in neither admitted nor denied it, and she continued to participate in filming and acting. Because of the affair with Ping Zuren, every time she goes out is seen as meeting her lover.

However, Ying Yin chose to end her life in 1942. The reasons for her suicide are complex, but this action is not only martyrdom, but also martyrdom. Her identity and her anti-Japanese work with Ping Zuren were not revealed until the Japanese secret intelligence was intercepted.

Xiao Minghua - Female communist agent

Xiao Minghua, a native of Jiaxing, devoted himself to the revolutionary cause after the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan. She came to study at National Taiwan University, but an invitation from her mentor led her to the path of revolution. This opportunity laid the groundwork for her underground work in Taiwan.

Hsiao was very active, teaching at Taiwan Normal College and helping to organize the intelligence network. From December 1949 to January of the following year, she sent six important intelligence messages in support of the PLA's victories in the coastal areas. But her activities aroused the suspicion of the enemy, which eventually led to her arrest.

In captivity, she and other Communist Party members were tortured, but they did not divulge any harmful party information. Eventually, the enemy sent her and some revolutionary comrades to the execution ground.

At the execution scene, Xiao Minghua showed a strong will and revolutionary conviction. Despite being forced to kneel, she suddenly broke free and ran to the highest point of the dune, chanting revolutionary slogans. Then, gunshots rang out and Xiao Minghua fell, but her magnificent cry spread throughout the venue.

Later, her ashes were returned to China and buried in the Babaoshan Cemetery. There are only three simple but powerful words on the tombstone: "Return!" "This heroine paid a huge price for her underground work, but her spirit will always shine on China's tomorrow."

These three female agents, Chen Xiuliang, Ying Yin and Xiao Minghua, made immortal achievements in China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and War of Liberation. They are those little-known but heroic heroes whose legends must be remembered forever.
