The Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which has a long history, did not take place in recent years. If you go back to the roots, you can go back to ancient times.
More than 3,000 years ago, the Hebrews, the ancestors of the Jews, lived in a place called Canaan in the Arabian Peninsula, which is now Palestine, and founded the United Kingdom.
Later, due to various reasons, there were many internal contradictions, and it was divided into two states, one called the Kingdom of Israel and the other called the Kingdom of Judea.
By the first century BC, the Jewish kingdom had fallen victim to the expansion of the Roman Empire, the capital city of Jerusalem had been breached, gold and silver treasures had been looted, the temple had been burned, and the Jewish kingdom had been declared dead.
Dissatisfied with the atrocities and inhuman rule of the Romans, the Jews rose up three times and launched armed uprisings in an attempt to drive out the invaders. As a result, the Roman Empire was forcefully suppressed, and hundreds of thousands of Jews were killed.
The Romans, furious, feared that they would cause chaos again, cut the grass and removed their roots and ordered them to be expelled from the entire Palestinian area. Since then, the Jews have been exiled all over the world and become a nomadic people without a state.
After the Jews left, they never returned. By 622 AD, the Arab Empire had grown stronger and stronger, defeating the Roman Empire and driving the Romans out of the Arabian Peninsula. For more than a thousand years, Palestine became an indispensable part of the Arab Empire.
By the end of the nineteenth century, however, there had been a strong wave of anti-Semitism in Europe, especially in Russia and Germany.
The Jews were the most pitiful at this time, living a life of being blinded everywhere, disgusted, and living in uncertainty. In order to avoid persecution, the Jews, who had been in exile for more than two thousand years, began to realize that it was difficult to survive without a stable and fully owned homeland. As a result, the Zionist trend of thought and movement gradually formed.
Jews in the diaspora around the world demanded a return to Palestine, the homeland where their ancient ancestors lived, and the political idea of re-establishing the Jewish state, also known as the Zionist movement.
At that time, Palestine was a British colony, and in order to control the entire Middle East and better contain the Arab world, in November 1917, the then British Foreign Secretary Balfour issued the Balfour Declaration on behalf of the government, declaring that "His Majesty the British King is in favor of establishing a national home for the Jews in Palestine and has made every effort to achieve this goal." ”
As a result, with the support of the British, the Zionists, despite the strong opposition of the Arabs, forcibly moved six times, totaling more than 400,000 Jews, to the Arab-populated western areas of Palestine. However, they were not satisfied with settling down, but also wanted to establish an independent Jewish state and restore the glory of history.
After that, in November 1947, under the manipulation of the United States and Britain and other empires, the United Nations passed Resolution 181, deciding to establish two Arab and Jewish states in Palestine, bordered by the Jordan River, the so-called Palestinian-Israeli partition. The Jews rejoiced and immediately agreed to the UN resolution with both hands.
Ignoring the fierce opposition of the Arabs who had lived there for generations, the Zionists impatiently proclaimed the establishment of the Jewish State of Israel the following year, on May 14, 1948.
And their reason for establishing a country here is also very strange, saying that our ancestors, who lived here more than 2,000 years before you Arabs, were originally our homeland. The Bible also clearly records that Canaan is the "promised land" that God gave us, so why did we go wrong with building a kingdom here?
However, Arabs generally believe that the United Nations resolution is clearly unfair to the Palestinians, and they believe that Jews have left their homeland for more than 2,000 years, and Arabs have lived here for more than 1,300 years, how can they easily cede their homes.
It is a great favor to acquiesce in your settling here, and it is necessary to take revenge, and it is tolerable and unbearable to build a country on our land. Moreover, the suffering of the Jews was not caused by the Arabs, but was entirely caused by their Europeans, so the restoration of the Jews could not be made at the expense of the Arabs.
Moreover, the Arabs, who make up the majority of the population, received only 45% of the hilly and barren land. Jews, who make up only 1/3 of the population, received 55% of fertile coastal land, so the Palestinians refused to establish a state.
On the second day of Israel's statehood, the Arabs quickly united and united several countries, including Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, to wage undeclared war against it, hoping to drive the unstable Jews out of Arab territory once and for all. As a result, the first Middle East war broke out in full force.
Then, in just 34 years, from 1948 to 1982, there were five wars in the Middle East, each of which ended in a complete Israeli victory.
The reason why Israel can win and defeat the Arab coalition is not because of how strong he is, but because it is inseparable from the strong support of the old United States. Israel is undoubtedly a wedge that the United States has planted in the Middle East in order to monitor the movements of the Arab countries in the Middle East.
And for the sake of its own interests, Israel is also happy to act as the younger brother and thug of the US imperialism. If the Arab world is compared to a village, then Israel is undoubtedly the punk of this village, with the boss behind it, rampage in the village, completely ignoring other people, it is not surprising that it is known as the "little bully of the Middle East".
Today, 90% of the former Palestinian land has been occupied by Israel, gradually compressed from the original 27,000 square kilometers to the current 2,500 square kilometers, little by little by Israel.
Every time Israel acquired land, it used various means to force the indigenous Palestinians away, resulting in a large number of refugees. Then they built a large number of settlements for their Jews to inhabit, making it de facto Israeli territory.
Ironically, the poor Jews, who were learning from the Romans of those days, drove the Palestinians out of their homes in batches, leaving them wandering around and unable to live in peace.
When Russia took a "special military operation" against Ukraine, Western countries, led by the United States, jumped out to condemn Russia's actions as naked acts of aggression.
Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory, on the other hand, pretended to be deaf and dumb, turned a blind eye and opted for collective silence. It can be seen how hypocritical and ugly the faces of Western countries are, if this is not called double standard, then what is called double standard?
But when you look closely at the political context of these two countries, what do you seem to understand? Naturally, there will be no complaints about the collective silence of Western countries. Because there is clearly one thing in common in the two of them, that is, they are both the "godsons" of American dads. In their eyes, everything the "son" does is right and just, why condemn?
Also, are there still few countries that the United States has invaded? Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, bombing the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia for more than 70 consecutive days, this one by one, one by one, which Western country has jumped out to condemn?
Although the Palestinians are not worth mentioning in the eyes of Israelis, they cannot stand up to a group of good Arab brothers, and they will inevitably resist strongly for their own survival and security. Therefore, this has led to decades of repeated conflicts since the establishment of the State of Israel, which has intensified today, and Palestinian-Israeli peace talks have finally become an empty slogan.
True peace in the Middle East can be achieved only if Israel retreats to the borders drawn by the United Nations in 1947, otherwise the conflict will inevitably continue forever. Only when US imperialism abandons its support for Israel will Israel put aside its arrogant position and participate in the peace process. Otherwise, there will be no peace in the Middle East, and it will be difficult for the world to be peaceful.
