From July 27th to 30th, the First National Competition for Teaching Innovation of College Teachers in Colleges and Universities, guided by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the China Higher Education Society, was successfully held at Fudan University. Professor Shao Nanxi of the Russian Language Institute of our school and Teacher Zhang Lixia of the Japanese Language School participated in the national competition on behalf of the Chongqing Zhenggao group, intermediate and below groups, and both won the third prize. 198 teacher teams from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) across the country participated in the finals, which fully demonstrated the advanced teaching concepts of college teachers and the achievements of teaching reform and innovation.
The first National College Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition was launched on September 30, 2020, with a three-level competition system of branch school competitions, provincial competitions and national competitions, with the setting of the zhenggao group, the deputy high group, the intermediate and below groups, the radiation of colleges and universities is wide, and the number of teachers participating is large. The national competition has two links: network review and on-site review, and the on-site race is divided into two tracks: the deployment of colleges and universities (including provincial and ministerial joint universities) and local colleges and universities. Sichuan University of Foreign Chinese launched a school-level selection competition in December 2020, and recommended 2 teachers (a total of 6 in total) to participate in the 2020 Ordinary Undergraduate College Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition in Chongqing according to the allocation of places, and won 5 first prizes, 1 second prize, and 1 "excellent grassroots teaching organization", and the school also won the "Excellent Organization Award" of this competition. After online review, Shao Nanxi, Wu Hao, Zhang Lixia and Pei Lin, four teachers (3 in each group, a total of 9 in the city), participated in the on-site evaluation of the municipal competition held at Chongqing Normal University on January 15, 2021. In the competition, the participating teachers with good professional quality, solid teaching skills, rich classroom teaching display, fully demonstrated the teaching level and style of the school's teachers, Shao Nanxi and Zhang Lixia 2 people (1 person in each group, a total of 3 people) on behalf of Chongqing Municipality to participate in the national competition, both won the third prize of the national competition.
It is reported that the second National College Teachers Teaching Innovation Competition will be held in Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, and will be hosted by Xi'an Jiaotong University.
The school will take this as an opportunity to take the "four new" construction concept as the guide, focus on teaching innovation, further play the role of teaching competitions in promoting teachers' teaching ability, temper teachers' basic teaching skills, and contribute to the improvement of the quality of school talent training.
