In the dim light of another morning, we came to Xiaohe Straight Street.
Xiaohe Straight Street, from the south section of Xiaohe Road in the south to the Long March Bridge in the north to the middle section of Hemu Road, is an alley 360 meters long and four or five meters wide. In the Qing Dynasty, the Gongtang River was commonly known as Xiaohe, and this street got its name from the small river.
Walk through this 100-meter alley and open the old days of the ancient canal.
Most of the houses built by the river near the water are the style of the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, with black tile and white wall and wooden structures, retaining the pattern of "going down to the shop and sleeping".
