Wuhan, September 26, 2023 - China's Airrail Tourist Line is approaching a milestone moment with the announcement that it will open at 10am today, marking the official commissioning of the country's first air-rail line. This news was jointly announced by the two investment and construction parties of Optics Valley Transportation and Optics Valley Tourism Investment, aiming to provide unprecedented sci-fi and spectacular scenery for the majority of tourists.
At present, the first phase of the project has been opened, with a total length of 10.5 kilometers and a total of 6 stations. The air rail train adopts fully automatic unmanned mode operation, the maximum speed can reach 60 kilometers, the initial use of 2 cars, up to more than 220 people, but also can flexibly adjust the formation between 2-3 cars according to different passenger flow transportation needs.
In order to meet the needs of different tourists, Optics Valley Sky Rail Tour Line offers three ticket types: monthly pass, single ticket and single day ticket. The monthly pass costs 120 yuan, which is equivalent to only 4 yuan per day, is valid for one month, and can be ridden unlimited times. Single-time tickets and single-day tickets are priced at 30 yuan from the date of opening until the end of the National Day long holiday.
The Optics Valley Empty Rail Tourist Line is located in the central city area of Optics Valley, near the east side of the Optics Valley Central Ecological Corridor, so the flow of people and vehicles is relatively large. For local tourists, it is recommended to take Metro Line 11 to Guanggu 4th Road Station, and then go to Skyrail Gaoxin Avenue Station to get on the train. Foreign tourists can get off at Hankou Station, Wuchang Station, Wuhan Station and Wuhan East Station, then transfer to the subway to Guanggu 4th Road Station, and get on the train again to reach the Skyrail High-tech Avenue Station.
It should be noted that during the National Day long holiday and other holidays, self-driving to take the empty rail may face the problem of parking difficulties. Therefore, self-driving people are advised to give preference to public transport. If you need to drive yourself, you can choose to stop at the empty rail Jiufeng Mountain Station in the P2 parking lot of Optics Valley Public Service Center, or go to the empty rail Gaoxin 2nd Road Station and Gaoxin 4th Road Station to get on the bus.
