Wen Bixia's history of struggle can be recalled from several important moments.

On July 30, 1966, Wen Bixia was born in Tuk Keng Ling, New Territories, Hong Kong, China, to a poor family. Her father was a former Kuomintang veteran who fled to the New Territories of Hong Kong after the defeat of the Kuomintang soldiers in 1949, where he took root and married a wife and had children. However, Wen Bixia's father had been in the army for the first half of his life, had no skills and abilities, and eventually joined the Hong Kong triad organization and liked gambling, which made the already not rich family even worse.

In 1981, director Li Dawei found Wen Bixia on the street and invited her to star in the movie "Beautiful Girl". The film tells the story of an underage girl who skips school, Wen Bixia played the role with her innocence and rebellion, and was nominated for Best New Actor at the 2nd Hong Kong Film Awards.

After becoming famous in the film industry, Wen Bixia returned to the entertainment industry three years later. In order to get rid of the troubles of "star", she chose a pure love film "Underground Love", which marked a new stage in her acting career.
