Cold medicines are mostly compound preparations, you should carefully read the drug instructions before medication, understand the main components and content of the drug, and avoid repeated medication.

Anti-cold compound preparations on the market (including proprietary Chinese medicines, see the list below) often contain acetaminophen (paracetamol), aspirin, diclofenac, ibuprofen, chlorpheniramine, diphenhydramine, etc., and common adverse reactions of these drugs include rash, drowsiness, digestive tract symptoms, etc. A very small number of patients may also have serious adverse reactions, such as liver damage, bullous rash, etc., which should be paid attention to.

On March 3, 2020, the National Medical Products Administration issued the "Announcement on Revising the Instructions for Normal-Release and Sustained-Release Preparations of Acetaminophen", which recommends that the maximum amount of acetaminophen taken orally does not exceed 2 grams per day. If abnormal liver biochemical markers or clinical manifestations that may be related to liver injury are found during the period of acetaminophen, the drug should be discontinued immediately and a doctor should be seen.

Remind all friends to avoid taking drugs containing acetaminophen or other drugs containing antipyretic and analgesics at the same time, so as to avoid adverse drug reactions caused by overdose or accumulation.

and during the period of taking acetaminophen, alcohol or alcoholic beverages are prohibited; If the patient purchases the drug on his own, it should not be used continuously for more than 3 days for antipyretic therapy and for more than 5 days for pain relief.
