The black technology behind the PICO lightless ring handle stunned me!
Many people may know that the light ring on the VR controller is used to let the headset track the position and posture of the controller, but did you know that PICO's latest new controller does not have a light ring! How is this done? It turned out that PICO developed a set of Centaur multi-modal fusion algorithm, which can realize accurate and stable positioning tracking without lampring handle through image recognition and AI calculation. This is not a simple matter, as factors such as the relative position between the handle and the palm, the occlusion of the hand, changes in light, etc. are taken into account. Only with sufficient technical accumulation in optical tracking and bare hand recognition can such a problem be overcome.
