This year, Montenegro's 12th "Laiest Citizen" competition kicked off on August 18 at the Brezna Resort.

The rules to be followed are:
Participants can eat, drink, read books, and use mobile phones and laptops, but only while lying down.
As for food and water, the organizers provide it.
Standing or sitting is considered a violation and will result in immediate disqualification.
Participants are given 10 minutes to go to the toilet every eight hours.

This year's champion will receive a prize of 1,000 euros (about 7,900 yuan) and the title of "laziest citizen".

Filip Knezevic, a 23-year-old from the northern town of Mojkovac, is competing for the first time this year.
He said he was confident in receiving a prize of 1,000 euros.
"I love trying new things and I want to push my limits.
Apart from not having family company, everything else is fine.

Dubravka Aksic, 38, set a record of 117 hours in 2021.
This year's opponent is clearly prepared and has more endurance.
