1. Introduction to the Research Group: This research group is led by Dr Lizhi Xu, Assistant Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, The University of Hong Kong. The research group has 6 doctoral students and 5 postdoctoral researchers. His research interests include biomimetic flexible materials and flexible biomedical devices. Lizhi Xu received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2014 (supervised by Professor John Rogers), and from 2015 to 2018, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan (co-supervisor Professor Nicholas Kotov). Since October 2018, he has been working as an independent PI in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Hong Kong. He presided over 5 projects of the Research Grants Council (RGC) of the HKSAR Government. In the past two years, doctoral students in the research group have published 2 Nature Communications papers, 1 Science Advances, 2 Advanced Materials and 2 Advanced Functional Materials as the first author. For specific information, please refer to the research group website:
