One

October 19, 1991, will always be remembered in the history of Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School.

The clouds are light and autumn is high, and the sun is shining. Located at the southern foot of Dabie Mountain and on the north bank of the Yangtze River, Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School in Hubei Province has colorful flags flying and gongs and drums in the sky; Outside the majestic school gate, Puji Road is full of traffic and people. The riverside town where Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School is located presents a lively and prosperous scene rarely seen in the past.

At about 8 a.m., people wearing "alumni cards" began to enter the campus one after another, and the sound of welcoming music resounded throughout the campus. More than 100 boys and girls held flowers and lined up to greet the alumni, and slogans of welcome were heard one after another. Newspapers, TV reporters and guests from all over the world filmed this exciting shot.

Among the alumni, some have snow-stained sideburns, but their steps are steady; Some have blue silk black hair, and their spirit is more demeanor. Among them, there are military and political dignitaries, scientific and technological elites, famous sports generals, literary and artistic stars, model workers, and leaders who work hard to get rich... Since the 1950s, a group of students have gone from here to colleges and universities all over the country, to the broad stage of society, and now it has been 40 years! Over the past 40 years, it has trained more than 20,000 junior and senior high school graduates and sent nearly 6,000 university freshmen to the Republic. Today, in order to participate in the 40th anniversary celebration of my alma mater, many alumni came from southern Xinjiang, from the north, from the western frontier, and from the coast of the East China Sea.

Walking through the jubilant campus, alumni rejoice and are proud of the dramatic changes in their alma mater. Modern-style teaching buildings, dormitory buildings, office buildings, and laboratory buildings replaced low, damp bungalow classrooms, dormitories, offices, and laboratories; The resplendent restaurant building shines in the sun; On the lighting field, football field, and standard 400-meter plastic track and field, there are lively figures. The school is full of flowers, green trees, blue waves, artificial attractions and natural scenery. The 40 years of shuttle-like years have woven the once desolate Hexi Lake into a garden-style school.

In every reception room, new and old alumni gather together, a few divorces, a few different thoughts, and a leisurely stirring heart. However, what they talked about most was the teacher's earnest teachings, and the talkers spoke earnestly and the listeners were moved.

At 3 p.m., the school celebration ceremony was held in the Tuanfeng Cinema. The cinema is lit up and packed. A huge couplet hangs on both sides of the rostrum: "Old friends, relatives and friends sing and laugh and talk about the great changes to celebrate the birthday of the fourth rank of the alma mater; The guests expressed their feelings and wished them a thousand miles of life. Sitting on the rostrum were the main leaders of the Huangzhou Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Government, the Municipal People's Congress and the Municipal CPPCC Committee, as well as representatives of alumni such as Shi Zhongchuan, vice mayor of Huangshi City, Xie Keqiang, a famous poet, Xiao Qingfa, a postdoctoral student who went to the United States, and Zhou Guangqing, a professor at Central China Normal University.

In the majestic sound of the national anthem, Zeng Xiangmin, principal of Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School, announced with full passion: "The celebration of the 40th anniversary of Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School has begun!" Wang Shijuan, vice principal of Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School, who is in her early years, delivered a welcome speech to alumni, leaders and guests; He Guohua, secretary of the general party branch of Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School, made a long speech. The speech reviewed the 40-year glorious course of Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School, summarized the 40 years of school-running experience, pointed out the sacred mission of contemporary Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School, and reported the grand blueprint of campus construction.

At the beginning of the flood, human diamonds took fire, knotted ropes to remember, that was the civilization of ancient cultures; From oracle bone script to golden script, from seal script to modern script, human beings have taken a difficult road of exploration in their own development. Civilization is in the same vein, and culture has a long history. After all, mankind has progressed, moving forward in the alternation of contradictions and movements.

It is people who open up the foundation, it is people who inherit the foundation, and it is people who expand the foundation. People are a great driving force for creating great deeds and promoting social progress! Let's unfold a long scroll and trace the growth history of Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School that grew up with the Republic of China's pumping, and you will see how many bitter past events and how many brilliant feats!

Two

Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School was founded in the fall of 1951 and was originally named Huanggang County Junior High School; In 1958, the high school was opened and renamed Huanggang County No. 2 Middle School; In 1960, it was renamed as Huanggang County Tuanfeng Middle School; It was changed to its current name on October 19, 1991. Before the Cultural Revolution, the school was already well-known in Huanggang and Hubei Province, and although it was called "Huanggang County No. 2 Middle School" for only two years, many people still affectionately call the school "Tuanfeng No. 2 Middle School" to this day. In 1977, Huanggang County Tuanfeng Middle School was identified by Hubei Province as the first batch of key middle schools, and since then the school's reputation has climbed all the way.

Although I am fortunate enough to work and live in this school, I don't know much about the school's past. Every day when I and the young writer and famous poet Cultivator and I interviewed the principals of Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School in preparation for the 40th anniversary of Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School with reverence, I was constantly deeply moved by some ordinary and singing deeds...

Forty is not confused from the wind, all the way through vicissitudes and songs.

Bai Yunhua, the founder of Huanggang County Junior High School, his ethereal name and his legendary story will forever be recorded in the annals of education in Huangzhou.

Bai Renhua was a battalion commander of the Northeast Army under Zhang Xueliang, who opposed the non-resistance policy of Chiang Kai-shek and Zhang Xueliang, did not withdraw with the Northeast Army, and took the troops to the anti-Japanese coalition army led by the Communist Party, persisted in the 14-year Anti-Japanese War in Northeast China, and later became a company commander of the Fourth Field Army, through three battles of Jiangnan and Sibao Linjiang and the battles of Liaoshen and Pingjin, and accompanied the "four fields" all the way south to liberate Huanggang and Wuhan, and served as an instructor at the Wuhan Revolutionary Political University.

In September 1951, Bai Yunhua was appointed as the first principal of Huanggang County Junior High School. At the beginning of the school's establishment, there were no classrooms, and the first batch of 98 students enrolled in two junior high school classes borrowed a dilapidated ancestral hall in Tuanfeng Town to attend classes; Without a dormitory or office, he and six teachers, including Ke Yuheng, Ni Yantian, and Wang Ya, lived in a dark room of less than 20 square meters; Without a kitchen, he led his teachers to build shacks and stoves on the west bank of the river and dig wells for water; There are not enough people, he is both a principal and a cook, and he also has to lead a class of Chinese classes... On the shores of Hexi Lake, which used to be unbearable, a piece of life and hope was born.

In the winter of 1952, the Huanggang County government allocated funds to build a school building on the west bank of the river. Bai Yunhua, together with teachers, students, and migrant workers, dug graves, filled pits, moved bricks and tiles, transported sand and gravel, and slept at the construction site at night. After more than a year of hard fighting, the first batch of school buildings, two rows of bungalow classrooms, was completed. Since then, Huanggang County Junior High School has had a hot land of its own.

Entrepreneurship is difficult and battle-hard, and a life is full of smoke.

In the entrepreneurial history of Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School, there are a string of heroes' names, and Tong Shijia is one of them.

When we walked into the home of Tong Shijia, the retired principal of Huanggang Normal College, this old party member who participated in revolutionary work before the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949 received us with a spring breeze. We explained our intentions to Elder Tong, and he talked eloquently, like a few family treasures.

In February 1954, Tong Shijia took over as the principal of Huanggang County Junior High School. That summer, a massive flood washed the wind, the river embankment burst, and the school faced extinction. Tong Shijia could not take care of his family, so he moved the students and property to a safe area by shaking a wooden boat, and the school was forced to move to Huilongshan, the hometown of Li Siguang, which was 50 huali away from the regimental wind and on a higher ground. When he settled in school and went to find his relatives, the whereabouts of his wife and children were unknown, and the family was reunited five days later.

Huanggang County Junior High School, born in the bosom of the Republic, was engulfed by a tyrannical flood. After the water receded, the school returned to the teacher's style, and Tong Shijia led the teachers and students to sweat like rain on the west bank of the river to rebuild their homes.

Due to his outstanding work performance, in 1956, Tong Shijia was selected to study at the Beijing Institute of Education Administration and was cordially received by Mao Zedong, Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Deng Xiaoping, and party and state leaders.

Speaking of this, Tong Lao got up and walked into the study, took out a frame, and a well-preserved black and white photo was displayed in front of us. In the photo, the young boy Shijia is heroic and radiant, standing with the first generation of leaders of the Republic. At this time, I clearly saw that Tong Shijia's eyes were flashing with a little crystalline tears.

Three

People have spirit - professionalism, dedication, Qi Yongyan combines these two spirits.

Qi Yongyan is a native of Huanggang Jia Miao Dupi, a descendant of the Qi Xianting family of revolutionary heroes, participated in the work during the land reform, came to Huanggang County Tuanfeng Middle School in 1960, served as the secretary of the school's party branch, became the principal in 1982, and was transferred to the Standing Committee of the Huanggang County CPPCC in 1985.

During the three difficult years, each person in the school had only half a kilogram of food a day, and many students fell ill due to insufficient food. Qi Yongyan squeezed out half a kilogram of his own grain and personally cooked sick meals for students; This took good care of the sick students, and as the "head" of the school, he took the lead in rolling the covers to the student dormitory; In order to improve his life, he took the lead by planting melons and vegetables in the corners of the fields around the school. In those years, students died of hunger and disease in other schools, and no one in Tuanfeng Middle School suffered this fate. In 1961, Tuanfeng Middle School enrolled the first two high school graduating classes, with a college entrance examination promotion rate of 80%, and the school's reputation in the educational circles of eastern Edong rose.

Qi Yongyan has a reputation for caring for students, and he is also exemplary in caring for faculty and staff, cherishing talents. On rainy days, he would walk around every faculty member's home to see if there was any rain leaking in the house; Whoever is sick and hospitalized, he has to visit him in the hospital; Some teachers were seriously ill, and he personally sent them to other places for treatment; In 1977 and 1978, he took the college and secondary school examinations twice, but was not admitted because he failed the political examination, and then took the postgraduate examination four times in a row, with outstanding results in history, and Zhan Weidong, a young farmer at Huanggang Junction who failed to pass the English test, was "invited" to Tuanfeng Middle School to serve as a history teacher in the liberal arts class of more than 150 people in the third year of high school, and many years later it was still rumored to be a beautiful talk.

Role models are orders, and care is strength. In the more than 20 years that Qi Yongyan has served as secretary and principal, the faculty and staff of the school have worked together with one heart and one mind, and successfully overcome one difficulty after another.

Moss tracks, iron shoes are difficult to find ancient roads; Bitter years, fighting spirit can change the sky.

Sitting in front of us is Yang Chuanqing, chairman of the Huangzhou CPPCC, and we can conclude from the heroic spirit revealed between his eyebrows that he is a bold and insightful leader.

In 1970, Yang Chuanqing was transferred to Tuanfeng Middle School, became the principal in 1981, and the secretary of the school's general party branch in 1982, and it was not until 1984, when he became the secretary of the Huanggang County Discipline Inspection Commission, that he left the campus where he had lived for 15 years with reluctant affection.

Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School still recited the story of Yang Chuanqing's concession.

In 1983, Tuanfeng Middle School built a dormitory building for teachers. On the day the plan was announced, the teachers and staff went to the school office to inquire about the news. The list of residents came out, but Yang Chuanqing's name was not present. Did you omit Secretary Yang's name? People guessed and asked, he should be the first occupant of this new house! Later, people learned that at the division meeting, Secretary Yang gave up the three-bedroom house allocated to him to an ordinary teacher. The teacher couldn't bear to move in, and Yang Chuanqing said: "This is a collective decision by everyone, not my personal opinion." The teacher lived in a spacious and bright new house, while Yang Chuanqing's family of three generations of six still lived in a suite of more than 20 square meters.

The successive generations of leaders of Huangzhou No. 1 Middle School, from Bai Yunhua to Tong Shijia, from Qi Yongyan to Yang Chuanqing, have been working hard to govern the country, treating each other with all sincerity, and setting an example, it is precisely this spirit of "one middle school" that shares honor and disgrace and achieves indomitable success, so that the school can step by step to today, and hope will grow stronger day by day.

During the ten years of turmoil, Huanggang County Tuanfeng Middle School was inevitably affected and affected. After smashing the "Gang of Four", the Tuanfeng Middle School, which survived the disaster, licked the blood stains on its body after a baptism of blood and fire, and stepped into the future with a more heroic step.

On May 18, 1977, Xinhua News Agency reporter Gao Ying came to Huanggang County Tuanfeng Middle School with great interest to interview. On May 31, Gao Ying made a long report on the typical deeds of Tuanfeng Middle School in implementing the spirit of the central authorities' instructions to rectify chaos, rectifying campus order, and quickly getting all work on the right track.

The vicissitudes of the road, the new song of Xiongguan, a stone stirs up a thousand waves; Ambition to be rewarded, sail away, infinite feelings into spring mud. Under the new situation of reform and opening up, this key middle school with a certain reputation and influence in the country conscientiously implemented the party's education policy, firmly grasped the direction of socialist schooling, comprehensively improved the quality of education and teaching, and played a high-pitched and exciting song of endeavor.

Four

As we walked through a sunny jungle, we always saw a strip of lush trees standing in front of us, standing in our young lives.

From the family of trees, we learn the following: the fruit gives the joy of ripeness, and the flower gives the sweet smile. But let us always remember the humble and thick dirt, when you need it, she can pave the way and send you to the successful end; She can also be turned into nourishment and become a hotbed for all things without hesitation.

On the evening of June 30, 1985, Li Zeying, secretary of the general party branch of Tuanfeng Middle School, who was squatting in the third grade of high school, routinely presided over a meeting of all teachers in the third grade of high school. The severe pain in her liver made her unbearable, and beads of sweat rolled down her emaciated cheeks from time to time. She pressed her liver against the arm of the sofa and continued to speak, but her voice became quieter and quieter, and finally she couldn't speak.

The teachers immediately took her to the hospital, which took her to Wuhan overnight. The ambulance was speeding, and Li Zeying woke up from his coma and said to the medical staff: "It doesn't matter, this is an old problem." "After diagnosis by Tongji Hospital, Li Zeying suffered from cirrhosis of the liver. Her husband, Jiang Bentai, arrived the next day and saw the doctor's diagnosis, like five thunders. Li Zeying lay on the hospital bed and comforted him: "Old Jiang, my illness will be fine in two days, you are the third class teacher of high school, students can't do without you, you go back first!" On July 3, Jiang Bentai left his sick wife helplessly. Two days later, Li Zeying embarked on the return journey alone to Tuanfeng. Paramedics couldn't find the patient anywhere, but found a note she had left behind.

After returning to school, Li Zeying insisted on going to work, and when she returned home, she was weak and just wanted to lie down. But as soon as she lay down, there was a knock on the door outside, and she asked her husband to help her up to receive the guests. The husband complained to her, "You're a hero outside, a bear at home." The youngest daughter secretly wrote a note and pasted it on the door: "Please come to the office to discuss something." Li Zeying knew about this and severely disciplined her daughter.

One ride for the mountains, one ride for the water; The wind is more and the snow is more. Introduce ten thousand clear springs to water the flowers of the motherland, and pour out enthusiasm to cast the pillars of the nation. The Endeavor song is playing loudly on the campus of Tuanfeng Middle School, and the majestic scale is rising.

On June 18, 1991, just after dawn, a truck carrying a few simple pieces of furniture slowly drove out of Tuanfeng Middle School, and more than 2,000 teachers and students from the school rushed in like a tide to see off Shu Yulin, who was appointed director of the Huangzhou Municipal Education Commission. This is a difficult scene, many teachers hold Shu Yulin's hand and say: "Principal Shu, we can't bear to let you go!" ”

The rumbling of firecrackers drowned out the sound of the car's engine. The car stopped and walked, stop-and-go, from Shu Yulin's door to the school gate, less than 500 meters, a full half an hour.

For the official deeds, everyone praised; This official did nothing, and the people spurned. Shu Yulin served as the principal of Tuanfeng Middle School for 5 years, and his achievements are obvious to all.

He initiated a discussion on education models in schools, promoted education and teaching reform in an all-round and multi-level manner, changed teachers' concepts from a single education model to a quality education model that comprehensively improved the quality of workers, and enabled the school to establish a new education system in which moral, intellectual and sports penetrate each other, learning style, teaching style and school spirit are coordinated with each other, and school, family and society cooperate with each other.

He asked teachers not only to firmly establish the "three perfections" thinking of comprehensively implementing the policy, facing all students, and being fully responsible for students, but also to teach according to aptitude, pay attention to the cultivation of students' personality and strengths, run schools with special characteristics, and educate students with special talents. Under the guidance of this school-running ideology, Tuanfeng Middle School embarked on a development path suitable for itself, a large number of top students and special students stood out, and an effective provincial model high school rose majestically in eastern Edong.

The real spring of Tuanfeng Middle School has arrived!
