Liu Feng met with Academician Gao Fu

On October 16, Liu Feng, deputy secretary general of the provincial government, secretary of the party working committee and director of the management committee of the Shanxi Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, and Gao Fu, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of the Shanxi Institute of Advanced Innovation, held working talks. Shanxi Institute of Advanced Innovation is a new scientific research institution initiated by Academician Gao Fu, jointly initiated by Jin scientists and top experts in biomedicine and other fields at home and abroad, and funded by the Comprehensive Reform Zone. Academician Gao Fu briefly introduced the background, functional positioning, development history, operation mechanism of Shanxi Institute of Advanced Studies, as well as the progress made in platform construction, talent introduction, subject research, and achievement transformation. He said that the Shanxi Institute of Advanced Research will uphold the principle of "standing on top of the sky", docking world-class scientific research resources, introducing the best talents at home and abroad, aiming at the development needs of Shanxi, committed to engaging in top scientific research, overcoming key technical bottlenecks, and seizing the commanding heights of scientific and technological innovation. Relying on the advanced research and development platform, Shanxi Institute of Advanced Research will lead the radiation periphery in cutting-edge technology research and development, serve the basic research needs of the whole country and even the world, and transmit the voice of Shanxi's opening up to the world.
