The Lixian County Party Committee and the county government attached great importance to it, and immediately organized public security, forestry and grass, cultural and sports tourism, comprehensive law enforcement, market supervision and other departments to form a joint investigation team to go deep into the place where the incident occurred.
After verification: netizens reported that the situation is true. The toll card point is the 304 forest farm Xiaomuchanggou forest grassland fire prevention inspection point of the Sichuan West State-owned Forestry Protection Bureau in Aba Prefecture, and the toll collection personnel is Yue XX, an employee of the 304 forest farm of the Sichuan West State-owned Forestry Protection Bureau. The Lixian County Party Committee and the county government immediately urged the Aba Prefecture Sichuanxi State-owned Forestry Protection Bureau to seriously deal with the relevant involved persons and the person in charge of the forest farm. According to a previous report by Extreme News, Mr. Chen told Extreme News that on August 13, he drove from the Miaro scenic area in Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province to Mengtun River. When he left the Mengtun River forest fire prevention point, he noticed that the vehicle in front of him was talking to the personnel at the fire prevention point, seemingly to collect money. Mr. Chen sensed that something was wrong, flipped the dashcam in the car to the driver's window, and filmed the process of being asked for the fee next.

In the video released by Mr. Chen, a person put the five fingers of his right hand together and gestured 500 yuan. When Mr. Chen asked what the fee was, the officer did not respond positively, but said "either return". Mr. Chen said that it was late and it would take several hours to return to the mountain, and he was a foreigner, so he transferred 500 yuan.
Mr. Chen posted the video online on August 23. That night, a person claiming to be charging at the time contacted him backstage, apologized to him, wanted to withdraw the video, and sent three red envelopes. However, Mr. Chen did not receive the red envelope sent by the other party, and he hoped to deal with it seriously.
On the 24th, the Lixian Cultural and Tourism Bureau and other departments told polar news reporters that the local joint investigation team was set up to intervene in the matter and actively respond to social concerns.
