In June this year, the China Automobile Association held in Shanghai China Automobile Forum, I believe that many guests here have participated, in that chip host sub-forum the association put forward the hope to achieve the early realization of China's automotive chip freedom call, time is far to October today and gathered together, on the new development of automotive chip freedom to discuss, take this opportunity to talk about some personal rough ideas and thoughts:
In 2020, China's annual automobile production and sales were generally stable, basically eliminating the impact of the epidemic, and the automotive industry as a whole showed strong development tenacity and endogenous power. The annual automobile production and sales have completed 25.225 million units and 25.311 million vehicles, production and sales have ranked first in the world for 12 consecutive years, the market continues to grow broadly, it is understood that the value of semiconductors in each car has increased from 300 US dollars in 2010 to 475 US dollars in 2020, it is expected to reach 600 US dollars by 2030, the value of bicycle semiconductors has grown faster, the growth potential is huge, especially the single-vehicle semiconductors of pure electric vehicles are 5-6 times that of traditional cars. From the perspective of industrial development and trend, the development of automobile electrification and intelligent networking will inevitably bring great opportunities to automotive chips, and also bring huge growth to the demand for automotive chips, and I hope that colleagues in the chip industry will give the automotive industry more attention and attention.
Automotive chip shortage is a global problem, how to base on the current long-term is the key, the current two industries have a lot of difficulties, there are opportunities for development, the development of the chip industry to support the automotive industry industry innovation, the wave of the automotive industry to promote the semiconductor industry technology upgrading, intelligent networking, new energy and other technologies and development of the market for the automotive semiconductor industry chain of the new demand, the automotive industry and the semiconductor industry to form a high degree of interaction, mutual industrial transformation and upgrading of the booster, The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers is willing to work with colleagues from all walks of life to jointly promote the deepening integration and coordinated development of the automobile and semiconductor industries.
