The Chinese Institute of Electronics organized well-known universities, research institutions and backbone enterprises to conduct in-depth research and discussion, and summarized the "Top Ten Frontier Technologies of Robots in 2023-2024". They are: embodied intelligence and vertical large model, humanoid and quadruped bionic robot, three-dimensional perception model and multi-modal information fusion, new core components and dexterous operation of robots, brain-computer interface, biomechatronics and micro-nano robots, medical and rehabilitation robots, commercial service robots, robot operating systems/cloud platforms, swarm robot technology, and special scene service robots.

The 2023 World Robot Conference brain-controlled typing and brain-controlled drone competition will set a new record. Chen Yuzhen of Tsinghua University created a score of 1.43 characters/second, and Jiang Hanzhe of Tianjin University created a score of 10.399 bits/min. What does this mean? In the touch-to-brain input speed challenge, the average score of the audience using the mobile phone touch screen was 2.19 characters per second, so Chen Yuzhen's brain-controlled typing speed was close to the mobile phone touch screen typing speed. The efficiency of Jiang Hanzhe using the keyboard to manually control the drone is 10.049bits/min, and he has achieved the same control efficiency as the brain-controlled drone and the hand-controlled drone.

Among them, this year's "Top Ten Venture Capital Stars" are: China Science and Technology Bolian, Yushu Technology, Zhongke Kuowei, Xinsong Dianshi, Gaoqing Electromechanical, Relman Intelligence, Dafang Intelligence, Self-propelled Technology, National Engineering Research Center for Agricultural Intelligent Equipment, and Polytechnic Huahui.

- Focusing on the frontier trend of science and technology, the conference brings a feast of ideas. - Showcasing the latest achievements in the industry, the conference expanded a picture of technology and scenes. This year's expo is systematically displayed from three aspects: scene application, product technology and exhibitors. For the first time, the "robot +" application display mode of the whole museum was adopted; Nearly 600 exhibits appeared at the conference, elephant trunk robot, single-hole laparoscopic surgical robot and other 60 new products were launched, the most ever, humanoid robots, quadruped robots, bionic swifts and other bionic robots shined, reducers, controllers and other core components concentrated on displaying the upstream and downstream research achievements of the industrial chain, brain-computer interface 50th anniversary technical achievements exhibition presented the development process of brain-computer interface from scientific research demonstration to application exploration; In addition, 160 enterprises and scientific research institutions at home and abroad participated in the exhibition, including 40 enterprises such as Xiaomi and Yamaha participating in the exhibition for the first time this year.
- Cultivating fertile soil for talent cultivation, the conference has built a competitive arena where talents gather. The World Robot Competition consists of 4 major competitions, including the Inclusive Robot Challenge, BCI Brain-controlled Robot Competition, Robot Application Competition, and Youth Robot Design Competition, including 27 major events, 68 small events, and 116 competition categories. Not only the competition system is more perfect, but the new provincial selection competition has broadened the mining path for young scientific and technological talents in the robot industry; At the same time, the content is richer, BCI Brain-controlled Robot Competition introduces EEG scientific research data of stroke patients for the first time, and the finals of the first National Xiangqi Robot Tour Challenge promote the organic integration of robot industry and sports competition culture communication; The scale of the event also broke through, attracting events from more than 20 countries and regions around the world, and the number of participants exceeded 100,000 for the first time in the whole year, and more than 4,000 racers competed on the spot every day, 2.5 times the number last year.
- Extending the radius of industrial cooperation, the conference has created a platform for communication and sharing. Nearly 100 international guests from the United States, Germany, Israel, ASEAN and other countries and regions gathered at the conference. The World Robot Cooperation Organization, the first international organization in the field of robotics initiated by China, was unveiled and landed in Yizhuang, Beijing; Important research results such as robot industry reports, academic papers, and top ten cutting-edge technologies have been released one after another. It is particularly noteworthy that the conference also widely invited enterprises in Tianjin, Hebei and other places to participate in the conference, carry out joint investment promotion activities, strengthen the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei robot industry, hold a number of supply and demand matchmaking meetings, invest in the star of investment and innovation excellent projects concentrated roadshow, some interested enterprises signed contracts on the spot, the total turnover exceeded 8.5 billion yuan.
