Zhulin Temple, also known as Hanging Cloud Temple, the ancient temple did not know where it began, and it has been repeatedly abandoned since the Tang Dynasty.
When the Fahai monks were rebuilt during the Yuan Dynasty, the literary scholar Li Qian once wrote in the rebuilding stele: "Qilu in the east, Youyan in the north, Zhao Wei in the west, and the great river in the south. Its givers are in the twilight. ”
In the Ming Dynasty, the Goryeo monks were built in the sky, and they were still prosperous at the end of the Ming Dynasty. Later, the temple burned down in a fire, and in 2000, the ancient temple in the Tang Dynasty style was rebuilt here.
The scenery here is pleasant, with pleasant birds and insects flying everywhere, intoxicating aromas wafting everywhere, and gurgling flowing water, winding paths, and has always had the reputation of "trails along the mountains, clear streams and passages, bending sheep's intestines, and scenery changing step by step".
In April, the wisteria in the Bamboo Forest Temple stretches out its branches that have been dormant for the winter, and purple flowers bloom between the cornices of the flower trellis.
Strings of white or purple wisteria inflorescences hang down, densely packed, old vines and new branches, blooming endlessly every year.
There is a legend of a small monk becoming an immortal in Bamboo Forest Temple. The little monk has been bullied by the big monk in the temple, but he still works diligently and cleans. By chance, he got an immortal point in a dream, and he dug up a thousand-year-old ginseng plant.
Unexpectedly, he was discovered by the great monk and ordered to boil in water. The little monk stayed up and waited for the big monk to come and eat, but the big monk did not appear for a long time because of the meeting. The immortal instructed the honest little monk again, and the little monk finally finished drinking the ginseng soup, and the hardworking and kind little monk rose leisurely into the sky along with the Bamboo Forest Temple. Later, people named the bamboo forest temple in the air "Hanging Cloud Temple".
At the Changshou Bridge, you can see the mountain gate of Zhulinji Temple when you look up, and if you encounter foggy weather in the late autumn valley, Zhulinji Temple will become a "Hanging Cloud Temple". The surrounding green bamboo, pines and cypresses, babbling streams, the scenery is very beautiful.
