The merchant declares that "it cannot be activated without oxygen, and it is not good to live without hydrogen". Is the variety of "hydrogen therapy" effective? The reporter investigated.
Walking into a hydrogen therapy hall in Taiyuan City, more than 10 hydrogen generators are running at the same time, and in the store's publicity, this therapy can treat a variety of diseases. More than 20 elderly people sit on two rows of sofas, with hydrogen tubes inserted into their noses and are absorbing hydrogen. Some elderly people said that they smoked for 4 hours a day and felt very comfortable. Some elderly people are smoking their eyes with hydrogen glasses.
In order to avoid legal risks, the clerks do not say that the hydrogen output by the hydrogen generator "can cure diseases", but only that these diseases can play the role of "intervention, regulation, conditioning, improvement and mitigation".

After about 10 seconds, the tap water is still blue and the hydrogen water is colorless. The clerk inserted the gas pipe of the hydrogen generator into the blue tap water, and the tap water returned to colorless after 1 minute.
The reporter saw that the appearance of the hydrogen generator is more similar to the water dispenser, and the price of most models of products is tens of thousands of yuan.
Although the price of hydrogen generators is not cheap, there are still some elderly people who are willing to pay for it.

On the leaflet distributed by the clerk, there are also a variety of hydrogen therapy services such as blowing hydrogen wind, taking a hydrogen bath, and steaming a hydrogen cabin.

The reporter learned that there are indeed experts in the medical community studying the efficacy of hydrogen therapy, and research results show that hydrogen may be effective for adjuvant treatment of certain types of diseases, but is hydrogen health care such as hydrogen inhalation, drinking hydrogen water, blowing hydrogen wind, and taking hydrogen baths really so amazing?
In addition, hydrogen-oxygen gas is a flammable and explosive gas, and this type of hydrogen therapy has safety risks. At a state key laboratory of Taiyuan University of Technology, researchers simulated what the hydrogen therapy hall clerk called a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen.
