I am Chen Junsheng, I started basketball at the age of 15, and now I am a basketball coach at Foshan Sports School, and I am also the head coach of the Foshan team of this Guangdong Men's Basketball League.

When I was a player, I often played field ball, represented Guangdong in the 7th Farmers' Games, and participated in the China Collegiate Basketball League. When the Guangdong Men's Basketball Tournament was established in 2015, I represented Dongguan in the first competition, and I have participated in many sessions since then, and it can be said that I have grown together with the platform of the provincial league.

I am originally from Foshan and am often active in various competitions. In the 2012 Dongguan City League final, I played for Chang Ping and scored 21 points, and the nickname "Foshan Ball King" slowly spread.

I didn't have formal professional training, but I played well, and someone asked me, how did I do it? On the one hand, I love this sport very much and practice hard; Also, I have gained experience by participating in competitions regularly, which has also made me more confident. Special thanks to a group of big brothers who often take me out to play wild ball, some from the national team and some from the provincial team, who are happy to pass on their skills to me.

In 2018, I started representing Foshan in the provincial league. Last year I had surgery for a foot injury and I transitioned into a coach. When you are a player, the main thing is to adjust your state, cooperate with the coach's arrangement, and solve your own problems. After becoming a coach, you need to consider problems from a more comprehensive perspective, such as how to arrange techniques and tactics on the field, watch videos to study the opponent's strategy, and improve the cohesion of the team.

Of course, I will have a lot of challenges in this process. Most of the players who participated in the provincial league are already working, some are still in school, everyone has their own lives, and it is difficult to get together to train. Compared with teams with a higher degree of professionalism, teams dominated by amateur players are at a disadvantage in terms of running-in time, tournament experience, staffing, and funding, and there are still many difficulties to overcome.

My next focus is also on taking on the role of coach and doing my best to help the players improve. In the face of some strong opponents, I don't want to put too much pressure on the players, I hope they let go and fight, at least be brave.

The provincial league is a good platform, for college students or amateur players, it is really rare to be able to participate in such a regular event, with live spectators, professional referees, and opponents from various cities and cities, to improve themselves on the field. If the players can play in the provincial league and play their own value, it will be even better.
