The total length of the Huangmaohai cross-sea channel project is about 31 kilometers, of which the cross-sea section is about 14 kilometers, with 2 super-large cable-stayed bridges, 1 medium and 1 long tunnel, and 4 interchanges. Among them, the Shishan Tunnel has been successfully completed in August 2022. Zhu Chao, Chief Engineer of Huangmaohai Cross-sea Channel Management Center, said: "With BIM technology as the link, the digital model is integrated with 3D graphics processing, GIS geographic information, video surveillance, Internet of Things sensing and other technologies, and the automatically collected data is used to simulate geological conditions, project expectations and construction process in an all-round way, and the operators make scientific decisions on subsequent construction according to the visual information, and the construction efficiency and project quality are significantly improved." ”
At present, the construction of the Huangmaohai cross-sea channel is progressing smoothly, and the five main towers of the two main bridges in the sea section have been topped out and fully entered the steel box girder hoisting. The year-round construction plan is progressing steadily, and it is expected to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2024.
