"Don't go wild swimming and wild fishing in undeveloped rivers, and refuse wild swimming and wild fishing. Every safe choice is the best protection for your family and yourself......" On the evening of July 29, over the waters of Haiqin Bay in Danzao Town, a tributary of the Beijiang River, a drone kept circling and repeatedly shouted at more than a dozen wild swimmers on the water.

In the scorching summer, dangerous behaviors such as swimming and fishing in rivers are increasing day by day. In order to further prevent and reduce the occurrence of drowning accidents to the greatest extent, Danzao Town has cooperated with civil rescue teams for four consecutive years to carry out special actions to prevent drowning, and carried out "sea, land and air" three-dimensional patrols in the waters of Danzao Town, a tributary of the Beijiang River, to comprehensively build a "safety net" to prevent drowning.

In the waters of Danzao Town, a tributary of the Beijiang River, members of the Foshan Eagle Volunteer Rescue Team drove lifeboats and patrolled back and forth. Since July 15, the "Protect Lives, Prevent Drowning" volunteer service project in Danzao Town has been launched, and water patrols have become the main daily work responsibilities of the Eagle Volunteer Rescue Team members.

Members of the Eagle Volunteer Rescue Team are on patrol duty on the water.

Ma Hongyu, a member of the team, introduced that the shoreline of the Dajiang River in Danzao Town is about 56 kilometers, and the riverbank line is Qiao Sangji Wai and Nantie Dingwei, and the drowning black spots are all over the shoreline, and there is a greater risk factor for citizens to swim wild. Once a wild swimmer is found without adequate safety measures, the lifeboat will immediately approach, and the team members will persuade them to go ashore in the form of a "loud public" shout. The lifeboat also plays the role of emergency rescue, where there is a drowning alarm, the lifeboat will rush to the rescue at the fastest speed and in the shortest time.

Lifeboats play an emergency rescue role.

Wild swimming spots may seem calm, but in fact there are turbulent undercurrents. Danzao is about 56 kilometers of Dajiang shoreline, there are as many as 12 historical drowning black spots, such as Nansha Old Ferry, Donglian Old Ferry, Liansha Bridge Bottom, Hengjiang Bund, Xiajiao Old Ferry, Jinsha Bridge Bottom, Haiqin Bay, etc.

At present, these drowning black spots are equipped with life jackets, lifebuoys, lifesaving ropes and other rescue equipment, and volunteers are arranged to patrol and persuade the site to educate and persuade the drunk, those who do not wear lifebuoys, and minors who are not accompanied by their parents, and publicize the knowledge of drowning prevention.

"Children, don't go to the shore to play in the water." Volunteer Lan Ruikang reported to the drowning black spot on time at 3:30 p.m. every day, regardless of the scorching sun, wind and rain, and insisted on standing guard until 7:30 p.m. Among the volunteers, there are many young students, and Liu Xinxia, a college student, has been involved in drowning prevention volunteer services since last summer, and this year she has brought her sister to join the volunteer ranks. "Little Migratory Bird" Feng Yuxuan came to Danzao for the summer vacation and followed his uncle to participate in the drowning prevention volunteer service, which felt very meaningful.

Danzao Town has adopted a combination of professional rescue teams and civil volunteers to form a drowning prevention civil volunteer rescue team, which has grown to more than 200 volunteers. At present, there are more than 30 volunteers who participate in the drowning blackspot rotation every day.

Through the all-round three-dimensional prevention and control of drone "air patrol", lifeboat "water patrol", and volunteer "embankment patrol", and build a solid "safety net" to prevent drowning, Danzao has effectively curbed the occurrence of drowning incidents and maintained zero drowning accidents in the past two years.

Protect yourself and refuse wild swimming.

"The key to drowning prevention depends on the improvement of the safety awareness of the masses." According to the relevant person in charge of the Foshan Eagle Volunteer Rescue Team, they met all kinds of wild swimmers in the drowning prevention volunteer service action: some did not wear lifebuoys with the mentality of having good water performance and being familiar with the water; There are cramps in the water because they did not warm up before entering the water; There are children who are out of the sight of their parents and swim and play in the water without permission; There are parents who accompany their children to swim, but look down and play with their mobile phones and neglect to take care of them...... In either case, swimming in the wild is a sign of a weak sense of safety.

In reservoirs, ponds, rivers and other wild waters, people cannot judge the complex underwater situation through the turbid water surface, and drowning accidents are very likely to occur. Citizens should choose swimming places with corresponding qualifications and safety protection measures. As the drone shouted in the air: "Every safe choice is the best protection for your family and yourself!" ”
