Hurricane Dora "crossed" into Typhoon No. 8! Latest path exposure
Category 4 hurricane Dora, originally located in the central Pacific, officially crossed the international date line and entered the western Pacific at 8 a.m. on August 12, becoming the No. 8 typhoon this year.
Taiwan media reported that Taiwanese meteorological expert Peng Qiming pointed out that there is no "newborn" typhoon system in the northwest Pacific region in a short period of time, but "Hurricane Dora" becomes the next typhoon, and it will be a cross-border platform once in several years.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, Hurricane Dora has entered the western Pacific Ocean and became the No. 8 typhoon Dora this year. The Central Meteorological Bureau of Taiwan Province also announced that a moderate typhoon originally located in the central Pacific Ocean had entered the western Pacific at 8 a.m. today, becoming number 8 (international name: DORA, Chinese translation: Dora).
Taiwan's Central Meteorological Bureau predicts that Dora's center at 8 a.m. is at 15.7 degrees north latitude and 180.0 degrees east longitude, at a speed of 23 kilometers per hour, northwest and west.
