On February 22, the reporter saw at the Aphid Breeding And Bee Conservation Center in the northeast of Yuping Town that several staff members were carrying out the first-level expansion and sowing of aphid cocoon bees.
It is understood that the implementation of aphid cocoon bees to kill aphids is an important part of the green prevention and control system for tobacco planting since the construction of modern tobacco agriculture in our city was launched. Located in Luoping Town, the Yudong Northeast Aphid Breeding Bee Conservation Center covers an area of 512 square meters and has 6 breeding areas. Among them, 4 seed preservation rooms are used for the breeding of aphid breeding bees, and there is also a breeding room at the first level of breeding aphids and a first-level expansion chamber of breeding bees. The juvenile bees provided by the breeding aphid propagation room and the breeding bee propagation chamber mainly provide demand guarantee for the aphid control technology of aphid cocoon bees in tobacco-producing areas such as Wushan, Wuxi, Fengjie and Wanzhou.
"At present, we are mainly expanding the sowing of aphid cocoon bees and providing them to the surrounding flue-cured tobacco growing areas and counties around May 10." Li Yuanxiong, technical leader of the Aphid Breeding Center in northeast Chongqing, introduced. The implementation of this technology can not only improve the quality of tobacco leaves, but also help to improve the ecological environment of the tobacco area.
