The product is much older than you think

For example, apples, if you buy them in the spring or early summer, means they're more than six or eight months old, because the apple harvest season is autumn. After harvesting, the fruits are sent to a special storage room where they are generously processed with a special recipe so that they are not lost before the next apple harvest season. So don't be fooled by the fresh and rosy appearance of these products. They are old, and in order not to harm themselves, each apple should be thoroughly washed before use, removing a layer of chemicals from the surface.

Washed vegetables are not ready to eat

In supermarkets, it is increasingly likely to see green vegetables whose packaging says parsley or lettuce can be eaten immediately when washing. Don't build illusions on this score and pay more for the washed greens, as you also need to wash them before using it. Imagine a bunch of dill that's really clean, but then needs to be packed, which means it has to be either on a conveyor belt or in the hands of an employee who packs the product by hand. Even if the green is not packaged, but on the counter, appetizing and sprinkled with water, it does not mean that it is clean, because customers walk around it for hours, they sneeze, maybe touch or even drop green on the floor.

Some products are treated with pesticides after harvest.

This is usually done with citrus fruits as they are usually transported for a long time. If you don't, the product won't be able to reach the retail store. At best, they will be treated with beeswax-based waxes, and in the worst case - mystatazole, sodium o-phenylphenol or thibendazole. Manufacturers and transporters do try to protect products from rodents or insects, but this is not always the case. After all, the containers they travel, such as vegetables, are not always airtight. The "green", "ecological" or "organic" label does not indicate that the product has not been treated with chemicals.
