In the first two transfer windows, Boly spent more than £600 million on new signings, and the team did not achieve good results because of his huge investment. Chelsea have been on the lookout for the best young talent and after signing great young Brazilian player Angelo Gabriel for £13m, they are now preparing to sign another young Brazilian talent, Matthews Franka.
However, Flamengo demanded a transfer fee of £22 million for Franca and Chelsea were reluctant to spend so much money on a young player after signing Angelo for £13m. Before becoming a first-team player, Chelsea could try to loan Franka.
What's next for Chelsea?
Having signed so many young talents since Boly's arrival at Chelsea, it may be time to consider bringing in more experienced and capable players.
Transfer expert Dean Jones has revealed that Chelsea are still struggling to sign Brighton midfielder Moisés Caicedo. Juventus striker Toussaint Vlahovic is also seen as an ideal replacement for Romelu Lukaku.
It is understood that before the transfer window closes, Lajan Cherki, Mike Magnum and even Brazilian superstar Neymar are the Blues' choice.
