AC Milan will issue a final offer for the American midfielder, but will forfeit if it does not happen.

With the transfer deals of Swiss centre-forward Okafor and Nigerian international Chukuadze almost finalized, AC Milan's next important signing has been locked in American midfielder Moussa. The Rossoneri hope the 20-year-old can improve the team's defensive prowess in the midfield position and provide plenty of rotation options.

Former AC Milan midfielder Gattuso, who coached Valencia, has a high opinion of his former disciple, and since being promoted to the first team in the summer of 2020, Moussa has 108 games in all competitions, delivering an impressive record of five goals and three assists. On the international stage, he was a regular in England's youth team at all levels, chose to play for the United States national team, and has now achieved a record of 27 appearances, and is a rookie with great potential.

According to Italian media reports, AC Milan and Valencia had already agreed on a price of 18 million euros, and both sides were willing to move forward with the deal on this basis. However, due to the request of owner Lin Rongfu, the Bat Army later raised the asking price, hoping to receive a transfer fee offer of no less than 25 million euros.

This attitude also poses risks to trading, but AC Milan intends to try again. In recent negotiations between the two clubs, an offer of almost 20 million euros has been made, including a fixed transfer fee of 13 million euros and a floating bonus clause of 7 million euros, which is currently awaiting Valencia's decision.

If the deal goes well, AC Milan hope the youngster can catch up with the team's training camp on the US trip to integrate into the team's system during the key stages of the pre-season tactical run-in. Once the offer was rejected, Pioli's alternative was Argentine Domingos. The 25-year-old's current contract is set to officially expire next summer and Bologna don't mind letting him go for a transfer fee of more than €10 million.
