Xinyang is located in dabie mountainous area, located in the transition zone between subtropical and warm temperate zones, is the dividing line between the north and south of China, due to the suitable climate, diverse landforms, Chinese herbal resources and edible mushroom resources are very rich, the tradition of planting Chinese herbal medicines and edible mushrooms is strong. In this region, there are Henan Lingrui Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Henan Tongyuan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Xinhe Yuansheng Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Henan Xi Banxia Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and other large Chinese medicine pharmaceutical companies, whether it is a unique natural advantage or a good development trend of industrial advantages, all for our hospital to play a professional advantage, to serve the local economy to provide a broad stage.
Our institute adheres to the theory of industry-oriented, application-oriented and market-oriented optimization, constantly adjusts the professional structure, improves the discipline construction, and forms a pharmaceutical (pharmacy) undergraduate professional group with pharmaceutical engineering, traditional Chinese medicine resources and development, and biopharmaceuticals as the core, and at the same time opens three specialties closely related to local economic development: biopharmaceutical technology, traditional Chinese medicine pharmaceutical technology, edible mushroom production and processing, providing sufficient professional guarantee for serving the economic construction of the old revolutionary area of Dabie Mountain.

Build a professional team and improve the quality of service. The School of Biological and Pharmaceutical Engineering closely focuses on the training goal of applied talents, takes the service of local economic development, helps poverty alleviation as its own responsibility, takes the initiative to dock with local governments and management departments at all levels, provides suggestions and suggestions for local economic development and rural revitalization, provides technical support for the poverty alleviation strategy, ensures service quality, and improves service effects. It was declared and approved to establish the Henan Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Service Group.
In order to further improve the scientific and technological service capabilities of the service group, the college has successively declared and established a research and innovation team for the development of traditional Chinese medicine resources and new products of traditional Chinese medicine, an innovative team for the selection and breeding of edible and medicinal fungi and health care mechanism, and an innovation team for the extraction and analysis and testing of active ingredients of Chinese herbal medicines with characteristic Chinese medicinal materials in Dabie Mountain, Xinyang, and continuously improved its ability to serve the local economy and serve the local industry.
Form an innovation alliance to help industrial development. In 2018, the School of Biological and Pharmaceutical Engineering gave full play to the role of industry-university cooperation in helping industrial development, and with the support of government departments at all levels, contacted enterprises and institutions such as "Huangchuan Jiulong Spring Agricultural Science and Technology Company", "Qishan Fulin Biotechnology Co., Ltd.", "Xinyang Guanzhuang Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd.", "Xinyang Academy of Agricultural Sciences", "Xintan Edible Mushroom Professional Cooperative" and other enterprises and institutions to establish the "Henan Edible and Medicinal Fungus Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance". The alliance has developed to more than 30 cooperative units, focusing on industrial innovation and upgrading, model adjustment, efficiency improvement and sustainable development, and promoting the development of the edible and medicinal fungus industry. With the research of food and medicinal fungus strain breeding, talent training, production technology innovation, and industrial chain expansion as the main direction of attack, we will explore the establishment of a technological innovation mechanism for the edible and medicinal fungus industry with enterprises as the main body, market as the guide, and the combination of production, learning and research, cultivate application-oriented talents for the edible and medicinal fungal industry in Henan, promote the overall upgrading of the edible and medicinal fungal industry, realize the unity of economic, social and ecological benefits, and achieve the goals of consultation, co-construction and sharing. Among them, the Chinese medicine team and Henan Xi Banxia Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. jointly applied for the Xinyang Science and Technology Special Project, "Research on the Ecological Planting and Development and Utilization of Xinyang Daodi Medicinal Materials" project, providing technical support for the development of local industries.
Formulate local standards and regulate industrial development. In the process of serving the local economy, helping industrial development and poverty alleviation, the service group found that there are no local standards for the variety identification, planting specifications, processing process and product quality of some traditional Chinese medicines, which greatly restricts the development of the industry. The Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Service Group and enterprises have jointly formulated relevant standards, such as local standards for the standardized production technology of the half-summer of the silk, the technical regulations for the tissue culture of the half-summer, the technical regulations for the management of rosemary cultivation, and the local standards of Henan Province, such as the technical specifications for the production of Cangshu in Henan Province and the technical specifications for the production of melons in Henan Province; and the Xinyang Academy of Agricultural Sciences jointly revised and revised 2 local standards for the high-yield cultivation of basswood black fungus and white fungus, and was approved and publicized by the Provincial Bureau of Quality Supervision in 2016.
The service group guided Huangchuan County Jiulong Spring Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. to change the traditional shiitake mushroom strains to Qingke 212 and Zhejiang Xiang No. 6 capsule strains, help enterprises solve technical problems such as germination and color change in the factory culture room, and assist enterprises in formulating 2 "shiitake mushroom factory production" related cultivation technical regulations and local standards, etc. The production local standards were approved and publicized by the Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau in April 2018. Through the formulation of local standards, it lays a solid foundation for the development of related industries.
Serve local industries and help alleviate poverty. In order to fully implement the "Henan Provincial Science and Technology Commissioner to Help Poverty Alleviation "Ten Hundred Thousand" Project Implementation Plan" and "Henan Province Science and Technology Poverty Alleviation Three-Year Action Plan Implementation Plan", the Service Group of the School of Biological and Pharmaceutical Engineering gives full play to its professional and technical advantages, establishes the industrial development goals and ecological concept of "government guidance, scientific and technological support, enterprise participation, and serving the localities", and closely integrates teaching and scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship with local industries to better serve the development of Xinyang and its surrounding industries. It has made important contributions in serving rural revitalization and revitalizing the development of old revolutionary areas.
Over the years, the School of Biopharmaceutical Engineering, with Professors Wang Dezhi and Chen Qiong as the leaders, the Food and Drug Fungus Science and Technology Service Group and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Service Group have been based in southern Henan, radiating the surrounding areas, serving the development of local industries, and helping farmers get rid of poverty and become rich. Food and medicinal fungus science and technology service group gives full play to professional advantages, promotes the integration of production and education, science and education to revitalize agriculture, has established industry-university-research cooperation with more than 30 edible mushroom enterprises, adheres to participating in scientific and technological poverty alleviation and scientific and technological rural activities all year round, and carries out technical services and technical guidance to more than 20 counties and more than 30 townships around Xinyang and other places. Every year, we go to the countryside more than 10 times a year, carry out on-site service guidance, train more than 1,000 technical personnel and farmers, and do practical things, do good things and solve difficulties for farmers. Among them, the service group fixed-point tracking service of Xu Jiajun, a disabled person in Damiao Village, Tanjiahe Township, Xinyang City, lifted himself out of poverty in 2018, and at the same time drove a large number of disabled people out of poverty and became rich. The Henan Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Service Group has been deeply involved in the demonstration base of planting science and technology in the middle of the summer and the field of growers and the production and processing site of enterprises all year round, and has carried out research, guidance and training in the form of on-site explanation, demonstration guidance, face-to-face teaching, centralized training, etc., and has trained more than 600 Chinese herbal medicine industry personnel and distributed more than 1,500 technical training materials. The Chinese medicine service group has carried out scientific and technological services more than 20 times a year, and the planting base has developed from 2 cooperatives to more than 100 at present, and the planting area has developed from more than 200 mu to more than 4,000 mu at present; at the same time, rosemary varieties have been introduced, and the planting area has reached more than 12,000 mu. In recent years, the Chinese herbal medicine industry has become a key support project for the people's government of Xixian County to adjust the industrial structure and help alleviate poverty.
The service group has infiltrated scientific and technological knowledge into thousands of households, so that the peasants can see, learn, understand, and remember, and through a large number of scientific and technological propaganda and special technical lectures, they have greatly improved the planting and management level of the common people, achieved the goal of training one person, enriching one household, and driving a piece of the country, and helped everyone get rid of poverty and become rich at an early date. Due to the outstanding work performance of the service group, it has been rated as the provincial excellent science and technology service team for many times, the two experts of the service group leader Wang Dezhi and Chen Qiong have been rated as provincial and municipal excellent science and technology commissioners for many times, and more than 20 other members of the service group have been rated as provincial excellent science and technology commissioners. The deeds of the service group have been reported by many media such as Guangming Network, Learning Power, Education Times, Xinyang News Network, etc., and have been promoted as a typical example of poverty alleviation through science and technology and agricultural assistance through science and technology.

Promote the integration of industry and education
Practical teaching and educating people have a good effect
Deepen the integration of industry and education, and promote collaborative education. Our institute continues to deepen cooperation with enterprises, and in 2019, the industry-education cooperation collaborative education project "Construction of Innovative Testing Platform for Local Applied Undergraduate Colleges and Universities" jointly declared with The Guangzhou Huibiao Testing Technology Center was approved by the Ministry of Education, which provided a starting point for the joint construction of courses, teacher training, and student practical teaching. At the same time, in the practice of guiding and supporting growers and cooperatives, and in the process of carrying out industry-university-research cooperation for leading enterprises, our institute has explored a "enterprise + university + cooperative + farmer" service industry development and helped alleviate poverty. Scientific and technological services have further promoted the cooperation between industry, education and research, the integration of industry and education, and built a learning platform for students' practical teaching in the process of scientific and technological services. The college has signed industry-university-research cooperation and internship base agreements with more than 30 related enterprises, so that students' practical innovation ability has been continuously improved, practical teaching has achieved remarkable results, and students have been promoted to grow into talents in an all-round way.
The "Research on Key Technologies for the Development of Functional Ganoderma Lucidum Bonsai" declared by four students of our institute, including Zhang Ruizhen, Miao Tongtong, Tian Tian and Zhou Junjie, was approved by the 2020 Henan Provincial College Students National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program Project; the "Development and Utilization of Rosemary Daily Necessities and Health Care and Epidemic Prevention Supplies" declared by students Yang Weiming and Sun Wenxue was approved by the 2020 Henan Provincial Undergraduate College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program Project. In 2015, the student innovation team of our institute won the silver medal of the 2015 National "Internet +" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the second prize of the Henan Division of the "Internet +" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in 2019.
The service group combines scientific and technological services with practical teaching, cultivates a group of technical talents who know and love farmers, and graduates use their professional learning to innovate and start a business, and drive the local people to get rid of poverty and become rich. Among them, Xing Jianglong founded the "Huaibin Shunhe Agricultural Co., Ltd.", Zhang Dong established the "Dongxin Biotechnology Co., Ltd.", Wang Jinhe took root in the county to build a cooperative, and jointly invested in the planting of more than 170 acres of Chinese medicinal materials with his partners, becoming the leader of the local leading farmers to get rich. Many graduates of our institute have become the backbone of enterprise management and technical positions, creating value for enterprises and industries, and the diligence, pragmatism and practical ability of our graduates have been highly recognized by enterprises.

Through the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements of Henan Provincial Science and Technology Department, "Research on the Development and Stability of Ganoderma lucidum Beverage" and "Research and Application of Rare Edible Mushroom Spore Hybrid Breeding Technology" and so on, more than 10 items have been identified. Our institute actively encourages teachers to focus scientific research on production practice, with the goal of solving practical problems in production, using scientific research to serve the practical needs of rural revitalization and the development of "three rural areas", so that scientific research can go to the field and write papers on the land of southern Henan.
