Microsoft issued an announcement yesterday evening, confirming that Xbox Live Gold membership will be changed to Game Pass Core on September 14 for a monthly fee of $9.99 and an annual fee of $59.99. Game Pass Core will retain multiplayer privileges and will additionally provide a premium game library that is free for players who subscribe to the service. More games will be announced by September 14, and there are two or three opportunities to expand the game library each year.
