On the morning of July 15, the 5th Fusheng "Little Red Eagle" Cup Youth Football Tournament in 2023 started hot at Fusheng Football Stadium. More than 200 players from 15 youth football teams from the Yangtze River Delta region participated. In the hot summer months, they ignite their youth with passion and sweat and pay tribute to their dreams. The competition lasts for four days and will last until July 18.
The competition set up two formats, 5-a-side and 8-a-side, divided into knockout rounds and single round-robin tournaments, and participated in Shanghai Port Football Club U12 echelon, Baode Road Primary School, Chongming Ximen Primary School and other campus teams. Fifteen teams will compete fiercely to determine the champion, runner-up and runner-up through nearly 40 matches.
After a brief opening ceremony, the first game officially began. The young players are full of energy, sweating and fighting the green field. Dribble, stop, pass, cross, shoot... The players cooperated tacitly and fiercely competed, and the exciting competition was staged again and again, which attracted constant cheers from the scene. 'We played well today, we scored two goals in the first half and this time our goal is to win the title.' The members of the Ximen Primary School team said.
In recent years, with the efforts of all parties, Chongming football has flourished. Through the successful holding of a series of events such as "Fusheng Cup" and "Rong Media Cup", more people can understand the development status of Chongming football, explore and train a group of potential young players to send to professional clubs, further polish the business card of Chongming football, and serve and promote the construction of Chongming football area.
