Eventually, because Africans were more genetically diverse and thought to have more mutations and evolved over a longer period of time, the African origin theory was proposed.
On the other hand, modern archaeology is also looking for human origins, but the conclusions drawn do not support the African origin theory of modern humans. In particular, Chinese archaeological discoveries have made the African origin theory full of holes, such as "Daoxian people" (called "unsuspecting modern people" by Chinese and Western scholars) forcing Western scholars to revise the African origin theory and advance the time when late Homo sapiens went out of Africa.
More importantly, a major archaeological discovery released not long ago is seriously contrary to the theory of African origins. In this way, it also has to make people think: Is modern Chinese (late Homo sapiens) really from Africa?
Official release of blockbuster archaeological results
Not long ago, the official released the blockbuster archaeological results of the Yellow River Basin in Shaanxi Province in the past four years: in the Paleolithic period, there were millions of years of continuous ancient human cultural remains in the area.
The author has sorted out the three most important points for discussing the origin of modern humans:
First of all, many sites found in the area, from millions of years ago to about 10,000 years ago, there are no faults in between, and they are endless cultural remains.
Secondly, many cultural relics have been unearthed in the late remains found by archaeology, which is enough to show that there are late Homo sapiens (modern humans) here, such as the Zhuhuangbao site, which unearthed more than 7,000 stone products.
Third, Luo Wenli, director of the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, pointed out: "The ancient human stone tool making technology in the region shows the remarkable characteristics of continuous development and consistent lineage. In other words, there was no invasion of foreign cultures.
In short, based on the previously discovered Lantian people, Da Li people, Huanglong people, etc., Luo Wenli pointed out that "basically built a relatively complete chain of ancient human evolution in China for millions of years". In short, at least from the perspective of the Yellow River Basin in Shaanxi, ancient Chinese humans have been living on this land without interruption for the past million years.
Archaeological discoveries overturn African origins?
According to the African origin theory, human beings have walked out of Africa at least twice: the first time was the spread of Homo erectus, 6 million years ago, human beings originated in Africa, and 2 million years ago Homo erectus went to the world; The second is the spread of late Homo sapiens, 300,000 years ago Africa evolved Homo sapiens, about 70,000 years ago the last ice age of the earth, basically froze other ancient humans (among which it is believed that ancient humans in northern China are extinct), 60,000 years ago late Homo sapiens went to the world, "without a fight to win" or "war to destroy" became the new master of various places.
However, compared with the archaeological findings of the Yellow River Basin in Shaanxi, the African origin theory can be described as full of loopholes, such as the following two:
First of all, this archaeology once again confirmed that during the last glacial period, ancient humans in northern China were not extinct. In fact, the previously discovered site of Tianshui Dadi Bay in Gansu Province has been continuously passed down for 60,000 years, until 4800 years ago, which has long overturned the ice age to extinct ancient humans in northern China, but there are always people pretending to be deaf and dumb.
Secondly, since ancient humans in northern China were not extinct, will they be wiped out by late African Homo sapiens? If African Homo sapiens "invaded" and replaced the original ancient humans, it would inevitably bring about a huge change in the cultural outlook, but archaeological findings have found that the local stone tool technology has been the same in millions of years, and other cultural outlooks have not changed dramatically, indicating that there is no alien invasion.
In the past hundred years, archaeological findings have found that the stone tool technology of ancient Chinese humans has been in the same vein, from 1.7 million years ago to 10,000 years ago, China used basically the first model of stone tools (100,000 years ago, African Homo sapiens used the third model stone tools - Moster type), north and south, as well as the Yellow River Basin in Shaanxi.
Obviously, judging from the archaeological findings in the Yellow River Basin in Shaanxi, the so-called African origin theory of modern humans is less credible, but more supportive of "independent origin of Chinese (with limited genetic exchange with foreign races)" or "multi-regional origin theory" or "modern human Chinese origin theory".
Finally, there are three more points worth pondering about the topic of this article:
First of all, the arguments of the African origin theory mainly come from genetic inference, but the basis of genetic inference is the existing genetic theory and research methods. The question is, the existing genetic theories and research methods that trace the origin of human beings must be correct?
Second, many discoveries in Chinese archaeology today are seriously contrary to the results of genetic inferences, at least not much support for the existing theory of African origins. But the question is, if the existing genetic inference is true, why would it contradict archaeological facts?
Third, genetic research is scientific research, and archaeological research is also scientific research! When there is a contradiction between the two, one must be wrong. In that case, which one should we believe: the result of inference, or the archaeological fact at hand?
