Early rice in northern South China, most of Jiangnan, Hubei and Anhui is in the ear pumping stage, and some of them enter the filling stage; Most of the development period of early rice is close to the same period of the year. Most of Jiangnan, Hubei and Anhui late rice are in the stage of sowing and seedlings; Guangxi and Guangdong began sowing seeds one after another.

It is expected that in the next 10 days (July 5-14), the precipitation in Jianghuai, Jianghan and northern Jiangnan will be 50~90 mm, and 100~150 mm in some areas, which is conducive to supplementing water for rice production. Most of South China has more sunshine and little rain, which is conducive to the harvest and drying of mature early rice. There will be phased high temperature weather in central and southern Jiangnan and southern China, the number of high temperature days is 6~8 days, including 6-7 days, 11-12 days, the maximum daily temperature in central Hunan, central Jiangxi, Fujian, central and southern Zhejiang and other places can reach 37~39 °C, and the risk of early rice suffering from high temperature heat damage and high temperature ripening in the filling period of eastern Jiangnan and eastern South China is higher (with figure), resulting in a shortening of the filling period of early rice, which is not conducive to further improvement of grain weight.
Suggestions: Jianghuai, Jianghan and other places should pay attention to timely ditching and drainage after heavy precipitation to prevent premature aging of early rice roots; Jiangnan and South China should adopt measures such as flowing water irrigation, sprinkler irrigation or day irrigation and night drainage to reduce the harm of high temperature weather to early rice; All parts of South China should seize the good weather to harvest ripe early rice in time. At the same time, do a good job in the management of sown late rice seedlings, and prepare for ploughing and sowing in areas that have not yet been sown. In addition, all localities should strengthen the monitoring and prevention of rice planthopper, rice blast and other pests and diseases.
