Saudi league clubs Al Nasr and Al Hilal are very interested in Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah, both are trying to sign the 31-year-old and have been in contact with the transfer, according to Italian journalists.
Saudi Arabian football official Hafez Al Medrej would like to see Salah join the Saudi Pro League, joining the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Ngoro Kante.
According to BBC Sport, the Egyptian has played for Liverpool since 2017, moving from Roma for £34 million. Salah only signed a new contract last year and is still in his prime. According to Transfer Market, Salah made an impressive 51 appearances and scored 30 goals in 2022/23. But it wasn't enough to help Liverpool qualify for the Champions League or win trophies, which frustrated Salah.
So will Liverpool allow Salah to travel to Saudi Arabia? Transfer expert Dean Jones believes the answer is no. Liverpool are unlikely to accept any offer after Salah renews his contract. Salah is their most important striker and he is not someone Liverpool want to lose. Klopp wants to keep Salah to help Liverpool turn things around next season and get his side back in the top four, rather than leaving in a bad mood.
