The most unexpected thing is that in order to help Jimmy Lai and these lawbreakers, they actually passed the proposal with an overwhelming vote of 483:9.
It has to be said that they are cloaked in "freedom" but try to use the Hong Kong issue to provoke China, which not only ignores the "one country, two systems" principle, but even interferes with the internal stability and prosperity of the Hong Kong SAR.
They are simply misleading the public, openly interfering in China's internal affairs and smearing China's governance in Hong Kong. This move undoubtedly exposes the hypocrisy of Western politicians, and their practice seriously violates the principles of international law.
After all, the implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law has provided strong support for one country, two systems and a solid guarantee for the rights and freedoms of Hong Kong residents, which is of great practical significance and far-reaching historical significance.
In this regard, the Chinese mission to the EU pointed out in a point-and-pointed way that politicians in the European Parliament have ignored the national economy and people's livelihood, created chaos by hyping up the Hong Kong issue, and tried to contain China with extremely hypocritical faces, so as to gain political capital.

In fact, after the unification of the six countries by the King of Qin, Hong Kong was included in the territory of the State of Qin, and it was also clear that Hong Kong belonged to China. But after the Opium War, Hong Kong was leased for 99 years, and it all started with a British man named Yilu.
As a leader of British merchants, he discovered Hong Kong's natural geographical advantages, so he used his position to resist and damage the anti-smoking movement on the mainland, and even proposed to the British government to start a war.
When the Opium War began, Yi Lu became the nominal number two in the British invading army, commanding most of the war of aggression.
It was not until 1841 that the British army breached the Shajiao and Dajiao batteries at Humen.
Subsequently, Yilu, as the representative of the British army, forced the Qing minister Qishan to jointly draft the unequal treaty "The Piercing Nose and Grass Treaty". For the first time, the cession of Hong Kong was included in this draft treaty, but Qishan did not dare to sign it, so this draft treaty had no substantive effect.
However, Yilu did not think so, and even directly sent warships and forcibly landed in Hong Kong. However, the British authorities did not agree with his approach, and in their view, Hong Kong at that time was still to be developed and could not meet their hopes.
Ke Yilu firmly believes in his own vision, which makes Britain re-understand Hong Kong. The Treaty of Nanjing was subsequently signed with the Qing government, and from this date on, Hong Kong was turned into the most important military fortress and trade hub in the Far East by the British.
In addition, the ambitions of the British were not limited to Hong Kong, but they used the Second Opium War to force the Qing government to sign a treaty ceding the Kowloon Peninsula on the Treaty of Beijing.
In 1898, the British came up with their own usual method of forcing the Qing government to sign the "Special Article for the Expansion of Hong Kong Boundary Sites", which is commonly known as the New Territories lease.
The three treaties they forcibly signed amounted to a total area of 1,092 square kilometers, and this is the entire area of Hong Kong today.
Although Britain strongly wanted to extend the lease period, China firmly safeguarded its territorial sovereignty and did not allow the lease to be extended, and finally on July 1, 1997, Hong Kong officially returned to the embrace of the motherland and established the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
However, the appearance of a man named Jimmy Lai completely changed Hong Kong's stability, using the Apple Daily newspaper he founded to openly incite public sentiment and create social conflicts. Let Hong Kong, which should be harmonious and stable, fall into the "black riot" of terrorism in 2019.
Fortunately, Hong Kong has the strong backing of the motherland, timely arrested Jimmy Lai and others, and promulgated the Hong Kong National Security Law as soon as possible to return the situation in Hong Kong to the right track.
However, since the implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law, European and American countries have always been opposed, always using freedom as an excuse to interfere in their internal affairs. They even used the Internet to try to smear China, and most infuriatingly, US Congressional Speaker Pelosi once claimed that "this is a beautiful landscape."
This shameless statement has to make people wonder what the European and American countries really want. A spokesman for the mainland's Foreign Ministry countered, asking "how much blood will be left in Hong Kong before European and American countries will be satisfied." This move directly reveals that "freedom" is the biggest lie.
Not only that, former British Prime Minister Johnson once bluntly said on the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland: "We will never withdraw our control over Hong Kong".
China has issued a stern warning that we will never allow a repeat of historical tragedies, because their rule has brought suffering to the people of Hong Kong and undermined the original stable life.
Although Jimmy Lai and others inevitably have their support behind them, what practical actions can those who use him do other than verbal opposition? Jimmy Lai is just one of their pawns.
Provocative behavior
In fact, the timing of the European Parliament's action can be said to be just right, because it comes at a time when US allies are frequently causing trouble around China. Because of the support of the United States, these little brothers have provoked China.
At the same time, in order to take the lead, the United States took the lead in sending warships through the Taiwan Strait, and his behavior is likely to be shouting or adding some self-confidence to himself.
Subsequently, China-South Korea relations ushered in an underestimation, after the South Korean side changed its previous attitude and actively expressed its willingness to open the door to high-level exchanges with China, but this call did not last long, but the South Korean side once again backtracked, and even approved the construction report of the "THAAD" base, which means that in the near future, South Korea will officially deploy the THAAD system.

The Chinese side expressed concern about the THAAD issue and China-South Korea relations, and called on South Korea to uphold the previous consensus and properly solve the problem while ensuring bilateral relations.
