Artificial intelligence (AI) technology is in full swing today, and has entered various fields including daily life, and it is necessary to recall the development of this technology as the history of China's science and technology development.

The so-called artificial intelligence is to simulate human cognition of anything, retrieve existing knowledge, and then perform corresponding actions according to human cognition.

The concept of Chinese intelligence was proposed by the Chinese Institute of Electronics and the Beijing Microcontroller Association in 1988, and it has been 35 years, when not many people knew about artificial intelligence. The software and hardware foundation of artificial intelligence is the computer, with the corresponding program, that is, the miniaturization, miniaturization, ultra-miniaturization of the computer, which is already nanoscale today. Decades ago, the integration of combinator, memory, and output portal in a thumb-sized chip was called a "microcomputer".

With the help of the Time Tunnel, I went back about 35 years, when I was in the prime of my life and I was new to the MCS48 microcontroller. By chance, I met Sheng Zhichun, the first secretary general of Beijing MCU Association, at the exhibition, and talked to her about the application and development of computers, and she invited me to participate in Beijing MCU Association.

  Looking back, I am very grateful to Ms. Sheng Zhichun, who made me connect with the MCU. In particular, I should mention Professor Sheng Huanming, the first chairman of the association, a scholar with profound studies and kindness, and under the efforts of two teachers Sheng and many colleagues, the MCU Association has contributed to the development of artificial intelligence technology.

  At the end of the eighties, the application of single-chip microcomputer in Beijing was in the era of development, and many engineers and technicians in the front line of technology began to understand single-chip microcomputer and were preparing to apply single-chip microcomputer. The establishment of the association can be described as the timing, location, people and possession, and soon began the first development project of the association.

Looking back, it was really a "fiery red" era, when we had a meeting, everyone had endless topics, to constantly coordinate the progress of all aspects, answer various questions raised inside and outside the association, at that time we did not have mobile phones, a phone in the office was very insufficient, but did not reduce our enthusiasm for communication; At that time, we did not have a private car, but no one said that we were tired on the bus or cycling, and it became our habit to fight at night and give up vacations.

  Soon, the simulator and application board were successfully developed, and the association organized more than ten single-chip microcomputer principle lectures, mainly lectured more than ten single-chip intelligent measurement and control instrument design courses, aerospace engineering college... They all invited us to give lectures. Capital Medical University... Dozens of other units have consulted or cooperated with us on single-chip microcomputer technology.

 What I still remember is the harmonious atmosphere of mutual help in academia and unreserved technology in the large collective of the association. The sincere friendship established between each other during that period has been preserved to this day.

It can be said that the single-chip microcomputer has also fulfilled my dream of career innovation and realized the life belief I established as early as my youth. As you know, in the sixties and seventies, it was very difficult to make accurate nonlinear correction or data compensation in measurement, for example: in high-temperature measurement, the accurate correction of Planck's law must be done with the help of computers, but at that time the computer occupied several rooms, more than a dozen people to maintain, and it was a dream of mine to make a smart instrument. But with a single-chip microcomputer all this becomes a breeze, using a single-chip microcomputer I developed a medical intelligent oxygen meter in 96, the significance of this achievement is the first domestic company to put forward the concept of "intelligent oxygen meter", won the national defense science and technology award, the national patent and the national patent expo gold award, CCTV "approaching science" stopped the introduction.

  Finally, I would like to remember the deceased Vice Chairman of the Association, researcher Ma Deshan, secretary general, senior engineer Wang Yumin and others, who have contributed to the development of artificial intelligence (AI)!
