The source is the flower bud of the myrtle family Lilac. Usually between September and March, buds are harvested when they turn from green to bright red. After harvesting, remove the peduncle and dry it in the sun.
The original form is evergreen tree, up to 10 meters high. Leaves are oblong-ovate or rectangular inverted ovate, 5 to 10 cm long and 2.5 to 5 cm wide, tapering or sharply pointed at the apex, narrow at the base often downwards into a stalk, full margin. The flowers are fragrant, apical polygonal cone inflorescence, flower diameter about 6 mm; calyx hypertrophy, green and then turn purple, long tubular, 4 lobes at the apex, lobed triangular; corolla white, slightly lilac, short tubular, 4 lobes; stamens, anther longitudinal fissures; lower ovary, synygotic with the calyx tube, thick peduncle, stigma is not obvious. The berries are reddish brown, rectangular and oval, 1 to 1.6 cm long and 6 to 8 mm in diameter, with sepals stored at the apex. The seeds are rectangular.
The habitat is divided into parts of the Bumalay Archipelago and Africa, and it is cultivated in Guangdong, Guangxi and other places in China. It is mainly produced in Tanzania, Malaysia, Indonesia and other places. There are a few productions in Guangdong, China.
The dried buds are slightly short rod-shaped, 1.5 to 2 cm long, reddish brown to dark brown. The lower part is a cylindrical slightly flattened calyx, 1 to 1.3 cm long, about 5 mm wide, and about 3 mm thick, with a tapering and narrow base, a rough surface, carved with oil seepage, and 4 triangular hypertrophic sepals at the upper end of the calyx. The upper part is nearly spherical; about 6 mm in diameter, with 4 petals, hugging each other. The buds are cut open to reveal most of the stamens, with the filaments curved toward the center and a stout upright peduncle in the center. The texture is solid and heavy, sinking when it enters the water; the section is oily, and the oily exudates from the fingernails. The gas is strongly aromatic and spicy. It is preferable to be large, stout, bright purple brown, strong aroma and oily.
Sexual taste is spicy and warm.

Effective cases usually reduce itching, reduce inflammation, reduce chipping, and gradually improve local symptoms after 3 to 7 days after application. If the medication is interrupted during the treatment period, the effect is mostly inconspicuous or ineffective.
