Not long ago, ChatGPT launched a plugin ecosystem - supporting third-party development of their own applications based on ChatGPT, which can automatically call third-party services in chat and return to chat results.
This move has been likened by the industry to the AppStore moment on ChatGPT, greatly expanding the imagination and application space of ChatGPT.
Recently, ChatGPT plugins have grown from less than 10 to 549, and after trying most of them, I have listed the 10 most valuable plugins, which I share with you here.
01. Prompt Perfect
The first plugin is called Prompt Perfect, and as you can tell from the name, it's a plugin that helps you write prompts. The usage is also very simple, just add the prefix perfect in front of the prompt you write, and it will automatically optimize the prompt and execute.
Due to the factors of ChatGPT training set, the current English prompt during dialogue is the best effect. But for Chinese people, it is not easy to write an English prompt, which is the main reason why I put it first.
When executing, you can see how it works by expanding the corresponding plugin button - it's actually very simple, it rewrites the prompt you enter with its own service and sends it to ChatGPT for execution. We can also learn how to write a prompt by looking at the content in the response.
Below is an example of how I asked it to generate the title of an article interviewed by Zuckerberg, and in the optimized prompt you can see that the corresponding requirements are more specific, using authentic expressions such as compelling, captivating, engage, comprehensive, detailed analysis and so on.
02. WebPilot
Since ChatGPT's model training data is only updated to 2021, if you ask it some current information, it can't give an accurate answer. Later, it completed this capability by partnering with Microsoft's Bing. But what is more strange is that Bing cannot be used at the same time as other plug-ins, which has also spawned third-party web browsing plugins, such as the following WebPilot.
As you can see from the name, it can help read the data of the web page and give corresponding analysis and answers. In the official introduction, it can even analyze PDFs and data.
For example, if I ask it about Tesla's sales in the last 5 years, it will automatically query the web page and return the results to me.
There are many more ways to use WebPilot, such as giving a web article a web article and letting it help extract the summary, extract several key insights in it, and so on.
03. Video Insights
WebPilot's advantage is that it can be analyzed directly based on text content, but there is more and more video content on the Internet, which has also spawned a series of plugins that can analyze videos, such as Video Insights.
My most frequent use is to use it to analyze and summarize some character interviews, new product launches, etc., on the one hand, you can save time and quickly obtain the essence, on the other hand, you can also dig deep into the details of interest by constantly asking questions, and you can return to the original video at any time when needed.
04. ChatWithPDF
As you can see from the name, this is a plugin that can do question and answer based on PDF.
There are many similar products online, but most of them require a separate payment.
The advantage of this plugin is that it can be used in conjunction with other ChatGPT plugins, such as based on some answers or data in the PDF, with other plugins for visual presentation, in the following example, I combined with the Show Me drawing plug-in to draw the core logic of a HuggingGPT-related paper.
05. Zapier
Friends familiar with Zapier should not be surprised that this plugin appears on the list, it is also one of the early official plugins. Zapier is an automation interface call integration platform, because it has integrated many of the industry's mainstream system APIs, such as Slack, Teams, Trello, Google Docs, etc., borrow it to further integrate with ChatGPT, you can do more with less.
I myself use Zapier mainly to break the limitations of ChatGPT in the form of output, for example, when the output content is very large, may exceed the token limit or need to return multiple times, I will choose to write it directly to Notion. The first time you use it, you will need to do an application authorization through Zapier.
Since Zapier connects a lot of systems, how to use it is more about combining your imagination with your own scene needs. For example, sending emails, sending chat messages, saving conversations with ChatGPT, and so on.
However, Zapier's plugin also has a disadvantage, requiring a second confirmation at execution every time, presumably because of concerns that the AI is fully automated, taking up unnecessary resources.
06. Noteable
ChatGPT previously released the introduction video of the official plug-in of Code Interpreter, which is very powerful, and can directly run code, do data analysis, etc., but because this plugin needs to be queued, most people cannot use it directly.
Noteable plugin is a ChatGPT plugin based on the Jupyter runtime, which can run Python code, perform data analysis and present results, and the most powerful thing is that these actions only need natural language triggers, you can completely understand Python programming and data analysis. In a way, I feel like I'm already a third-party code interpreter.
For example, I gave it a detailed sales data of new energy vehicles, and then asked it to give a few key analysis conclusions and draw some graphics, and soon the results came out. What's more interesting is that I can also switch to Noteable's interface, watch the AI automatically program, analyze, output conclusions, and if I need to adjust some logic, I can also directly make secondary modifications based on the code it generates.
07. Show Me Diagrams
The use of the plug-in Show Me was demonstrated in ChatWithPDF earlier, as the saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words", Show Me is a plug-in that uses graphics to explain the problem.
For example, here I asked it to draw an organizational chart of Tesla. The underlying principle of Show Me is actually code drawing, which is first translated into a piece of code based on logic, and then drawn out with the Mermaid engine.
Similar drawing plugins also include daigr.am, whimsical, draw, etc., and the focus is also different, but Show Me is the overall stability, speed, and effect I have used the best.
08. Stories
This is an interesting plugin that generates a complete story based on a given theme and automatically generates illustrations.
For example, in the example below, I only gave 6 words (a boy's trip to Mars), and it generated a complete story, automatically illustrated and simulated the flip of a physical book.
09. HeyGen
Similar content generation plugins, as well as main video generation like HeyGen, can directly generate a digital video as long as the text is given.
They are characterized by providing AIGC generation capabilities themselves, and accessing ChatGPT can not only obtain more traffic, but also combine with other plug-ins to produce greater chemical reactions. In the example below, I asked it to generate a video explaining the principle of the ChatGPT plugin, which was generated in less than a minute.
10. Pluginpedia
