There is a duzhai in Xinbao Township, Wudang District, Guiyang City. Backed by mountains and water, surrounded by green trees, China Buyidu Village Historical and Cultural Village is located in the beautiful waters of Mingshan Mountain. In front of the village, the Adu River flows slowly, the fertile fields are interlaced between the houses and the river, and after the village, the Gulong Mountain quietly stands. More than 80 Buyi families in the village live in this quiet and flexible landscape.
Crossing the village
Many years ago, the Buyi people drifted all the way here from the distant Jiangxi, and the water of the Adu River washed away the dust of their servants, and the green mountains and green trees dissolved their migration difficulties. Here, they found a home, found their ideal paradise, and they decided to stop running. Therefore, the sons and daughters of a clan of Buyi multiplied and lived in this land, which is today's Duzhai.
Duzhai has been divided into three streets so far, according to the time of arrival in Duzhai, Buyi people live in the upper street, middle street, lower street. People surnamed Wei live on the upper and lower streets, also known as Wei Street; in the middle street, people surnamed Luo live. Although the surnames are different, the Duzhai people are united and harmonious, and the neighbors are friendly.
There are many ancient cypress trees on both sides of the street, and like the Buyi people who grow with them, these ancient cypress trees have a strong vitality. Today's Duzhai, many hundreds of years old cypress trees scattered in the village, perennial green shade cover, birds chirping, the streets of Duzhai are particularly beautiful, quiet.

Duzhai has a strong atmosphere of folk art, and in March 1993, it was named "the hometown of peasant painting" by the Department of Culture of Guizhou Province. Now next to the street of Duzhai, an open-air Buyi Gallery with a length of 200 meters has been built, where visitors can enjoy more than 60 original ecological dustpan paintings full of Buyi ethnic customs, feel the rich cultural atmosphere of Buyi, and the colorful Buyi custom paintings make people feel the exuberant vitality and artistic talent of buyi people, and feel the rich life conditions of Buyi people. In the village, almost everyone can draw, and there are several special studios.
The mountain backed by the village is like a five-petal plum blossom, and the people of the village call it the five-petal plum blossom mountain. Duzhai is a veritable feng shui treasure land, in the old days, the ancestral tomb of the famous Tang family in Guiyang was selected on the back hill of the Duzhai, and the Duzhai people called it "Tang Family Tomb". According to the old man in Duzhai, there were three tombs in the "Tang Family Tomb", and when the tomb was repaired, the Tang family found many people and cattle to step on the ground, stepped on a large solid flat land, surrounded by a large circle, and the tomb was built on this flat ground. Regrettably, the "Great Tomb of the Tang Family" has been looted by tomb robbers several times and has been severely damaged.
In the old days of Guiyang, there was a saying that "the silver of the Hua family, the top of the Tang family, and the grain of the Gao family". The Hua family, the Tang family, and the Gao family were large families with great prestige in Guiyang in the past, each of which had its own characteristics and had a great influence in the early years of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.

The Tang clan was a native of Fuzhou, Jiangxi, and his family had people in Sichuan who served as officials in the Ming Dynasty. In the early Qing Dynasty, his ancestors moved to Zunyi to escape Zhang Xianzhong's uprising. According to the Zunyi Fu Zhi, from the Kangxi dynasty to the Guangxu period, there were more than twenty famous people in the Tang family, of whom Tang Shuyi, the founder of the "Tang Family Garden" (that is, the Tang Family Garden), and his son Tang Jiong (Zi Esheng, who served as the Minister of Mining affairs of the Qing Dynasty, the Prince Shaobao, and the Inspector of Yunnan) were all officials and inspectors.

The top son of the Tang clan of the Shili family means "many officials, and many clean officials". As the descendants of the official eunuch family, Shuxiang Mendi, more importantly, to accept the traditional Confucian thought and culture, familiar with poetry and allusions, etc., the halls of the Tang family are hung with celebrity ink treasures. In the Tang family garden with bamboo eaves and green shade, Tang Shuyi, the ancestor of the Tang family, often exchanged poems and discussed the affairs of the world with cultural celebrities in Guizhou, such as Yin Zhen and Mo Youzhi. When Tang Jiong was there, he often held poetry meetings in the garden, allowing his children and grandchildren to participate in judging who made the poems well.

Under such a good education, the boys of the Tang family are diligent and honest. The girls of the Tang family all knew Shu Dali, and those who married the Tang family were Zhang Zhidong, the governor of Sichuan, Wang Wenwen, and Li Duandi, the rebbe of the Guangxu Dynasty.

Tang Family Garden is the first garden of Guiyang Private Garden, covering an area of about 20 acres, the characteristics of the garden are weir ponds, with pond scenery, pond scenery. The weir pond has a clear water, a wide range of lotus flowers, the surrounding buildings, platforms, pavilions, pavilions, high and low, staggered, can be climbed to see the lotus.
Regarding the "Tang Family Tomb", the whereabouts of the tombstone are unknown after it was damaged, but the "Guizhou Provincial Epitaph Anthology" compiled by the Guizhou Provincial Museum includes the "Qing Tang I Yong Epitaph".
Crossing the scenery
In Duzhai, there are many masters of singing mountain songs, and the current mountain singers of the older generation are: Luo Xiangfen, Luo Yingzhen, Pan Mingxiu, Luo Guiying, Lin Fazhen, Luo Dafen. The new generation of mountain singers are: Luo Ruiying, Luo Shuxiu, Wang Fengzhen, Ban Huaqin, Luo Wenlian, Wang Qinying, Luo Qinzhen, Wang Jinzhen, Luo Yunxiu, Luo Huachun.
Most of the older generation of singers are illiterate, but this does not affect their singing at all. Not only do they have a good voice, but they can also sing like a stream, and they will not repeat it all night.
Duzhai Buyi people are cheerful by nature, it is not difficult to listen to mountain songs, as long as they are sincerely invited, they will sing a few songs to you.
The Buyi people who cross the village love to sing, whether in the field or visit relatives and friends, often singing without leaving their mouths. Especially in the busy agricultural season, a village of people are almost all in the field dam, as long as whoever starts, this side sings and that side, and the mountains are full of songs.

The singing cavity of Buyi song is mainly divided into three drops of water, four flat cavities and other forms, and there are four kinds of ancient songs, wine songs, love songs, and mountain songs.
The pair of songs is the favorite form of singing of the Duzhai Buyi people, which is permeated with romantic ethnic customs. Young guys and girls use this method as a bridge to make friends and establish romantic relationships.
