On September 30th, the 12th "China Statistics Open Day" in Zhongshan City was held in Zuobu Village, Nanlang Street, and the theme of this Statistical Open Day was "Continuing the Red Blood, Striving for the Future of Statistics". Keeping in mind the original mission, inheriting the blood of statistics, making statistics close to the public, and enhancing the understanding and support of all sectors of society for statistical work have become the main content of the open day activities.
The event was hosted by the Zhongshan Municipal Bureau of Statistics and the Zhongshan Survey Team of the National Bureau of Statistics, co-organized by the Management Committee of Cuiheng New District, and hosted by the Zuobu Villagers Committee of Nanlang Street.
"Since its birth, the statistical investigation cause has breathed with the party and the state and shared a common destiny, and has always flowed with red blood and inherited red genes." Sun Zhihong, director of the Zhongshan Municipal Bureau of Statistics, said in his speech that in the new journey of endeavor, statisticians should inherit the red gene, continue the spiritual bloodline, keep in mind the original mission, shoulder the responsibility, and strive to plunge into the tide of statistical modernization and reform with a high-spirited attitude, complete various statistical tasks with high quality, win the economic turnaround battle for Zhongshan, revitalize Huwei, accelerate the rise of high quality, bravely undertake statistical missions, contribute statistical strength, and highlight statistical deeds.
This event took the opportunity of the "China Statistics Open Day" to promote online and offline synchronization. In order to fully display the new image of Zhongshan grassroots statisticians who are hard-working and innovative, from September 24 to 28, the online activity of "Praising Zhongshan Grassroots Statisticians" was launched, with 120,000 visits and a total of 84,000 votes in five days. At the ceremony, personal image posters were also presented to representatives of grass-roots statisticians in 23 town streets. At the event, the "Statistics Open Day Online Prize Breaking Game" was launched at the same time, attracting wide participation from the public, and the activity period was from September 30 to October 8. The organizers also distributed statistical pamphlets and filmed propaganda films through going to villages to let the masses understand the development process, statistical knowledge, and statistical spirit of party history and statistical history.
Since it was first held in 2010, the "China Statistics Open Day" has been held for 12 consecutive years. As a window and bridge for Zhongshan Statistics to show its image and connect with the public, the "China Statistics Open Day" has become a brand activity of Zhongshan Municipal Bureau of Statistics to promote the openness of statistical government affairs and promote the transparency of statistical work, further deepening the communication between the statistical system and the public, and promoting the understanding and support of all sectors of society for statistical work.
