Sunday, June 11. The weather is hot and the sun is blazing. The home of Zhang Bin, a Douyin expert who is famous for its characteristic breeding, is lively in the stall village of Fenyan Town, Jianli City.
Zhang Bin was disabled due to illness since childhood, and his parents divorced and raised him by relatives, making a living as a street singer.
In 2013, by chance, he saw the promotion of rutin chicken breeding technology on CCTV, and felt that if he learned this breeding technology, he could make a living and become self-reliant. He and his lover Chen Juan drove an electric tricycle from Nanjing, and after five days and five nights, they came to Xuzhou with great hardship. The teacher in Xuzhou was moved by his hard-working spirit and decided to help him. Zhang Bin studied intensively in Xuzhou for eight months, and returned to Nanjing with ten breeders donated by his teacher to start his business.
After five years of hard work, his farm has grown day by day, supplying 5,000 commercial chickens to the hotel every day and employing about 30 people.
At the end of 2019, the epidemic broke out, Nanjing was closed, and all the rutin chickens on his farm starved to death, and returned to the starting point overnight.
After the epidemic was lifted, Zhang Bin and his wife returned to their hometown of Fenyan in Jianli City. After the government of his hometown learned about the situation, he immediately helped build two new houses. He was moved, but also wanted to give back to the society, so he signed up as a volunteer and actively participated in public welfare activities. He became a member of the Dandelion Love Association of Jianli City.
Later, with the help and support of the association and the Jianli Disabled Persons' Federation, Zhang Bin restarted the breeding of rutin chickens, and it became larger and larger, and it sold well on the Internet.
In 2022, Zhang Bin represented the Jianli Disabled Persons' Federation to participate in the "Yijingen" Disabled Entrepreneur Competition and won the honor of "Excellent Support Project". Since then, Zhang Bin has become a well-known breeder.
This time, Ye Zhonglai, vice chairman of the Jingzhou Disabled Persons' Federation and chairman of the Jingzhou Limb Disabled Association, Cui Hong, chairman of the Shishou Disabled Persons Association, the person in charge of the employment unit of the Jingzhou District Disabled Persons' Federation, and more than 20 disabled friends from eight counties and cities including Jingzhou, Shishou, Zhijiang, Honghu, Jiangling, Public Security, Songzi, and Jianli, accompanied by Fan Mingbo, vice chairman of the Jianli Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, Secretary Liu and Vice Chairman of the Jianli Disabled Persons' Federation, Duan Min, person in charge of the employment center, and Xia Xunbiao, chairman of the Jianli Disabled Persons Association, came to visit the Douyin expert "Brother Yanbin" Zhang Bin's family's rutin chicken breeding base. Zhang Bin introduced to the guests the origin of rutin chicken, biological habits, growth in the Zhou Dynasty, breeding points, nutritional value and other aspects. The disabled friends who visited and studied also consulted the details of the development of rutin chicken breeding infrastructure, novice input, variety research and development, feed processing, income prospects and other aspects, and expressed strong interest and investment intentions. After the visit and study, representatives of the visiting counties and cities held seminars and exchanged their experience in supporting disabled people to start businesses and find employment.
