Nintendo has been cracking down on homebrews and emulators lately, but that hasn't scared Yuzu, but keeps up the good work! The developer of the Switch emulator Yuzu announced that the Android version of the emulator is now available on the Google Play Store, and the Android version of the Yuzu emulator is divided into a free version and a paid early access version with additional features.
The developers say they will continue to improve the Yuzu emulator for Android, which is not yet compatible with all processors. The app requires a Qualcomm Snapdragon device with Android 11 operating system, 8 GB or more of RAM, Adreno 600 GPUs, and Mesa Turnip drivers to run smoothly.
The table shows that some games released in 2020, such as Super Mario 3D World + Wrath of Kuba, The Legend of Zelda: Sky Sword HD, and Smash Bros. Games, can also achieve a smoothness of 60 frames per second.
In order to avoid copyright issues, the use of the Yuzu emulator in principle requires users to export the game's data and keys from the Switch by themselves. Although the Android version of Yuzu has initial support, it still needs to be further refined to meet the needs of more devices.
Previously, the best Switch emulator on Android was probably the Skyline emulator, which was able to run a lot of indie games and popular games, and was considered one of the best emulators on the Android platform.
