With the development of the times, light boat rafts can no longer keep up with the needs of the times, and in the past, small cargo ships in the dry period not only could not be navigated smoothly, but often ran aground on the shallows, which brought a lot of inconvenience to water transportation; After the water storage of Shatuo Power Station was opened to navigation, small oil tankers were able to operate more smoothly; At the same time, the construction of the power station has brought more convenience to flood control, drought resistance and irrigation, and how many floods have been suffered by people on both sides of the Wujiang River, and migrants have relocated, allowing more people to stay away from this natural disaster.
The former cargo transfer warehouse and the ruins of the housing complex of wealthy merchants were relocated due to the improvement of the water surface, and the former green brick houses and the once bluestone floors remind people of the prosperity of the former water transport dock. It also makes this ancient building complex look out of place behind this modern building complex relocated by immigrants.
