This is an interview to cross the desert Gobi and feel the prosperity of the Silk Road.
From Urumqi, along the Tianshan Mountains, all the way east, through Turpan, to Hami, the eastern gate of Xinjiang, this ancient Silk Road is now showing new vitality.
At the third central Xinjiang work forum, General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward the hope for Xinjiang: to build a highland that is open inland and open along the border. From transportation to economy and trade, from agriculture to tourism, from education to culture... Today's Xinjiang is the land center of Asia, an important dry port area on the "Belt and Road", and the forefront of the intersection of economic and cultural exchanges between the East and the West.
The majestic Tianshan Mountains and magnificent Kunlun have witnessed the vicissitudes and great changes here.
There are new stations on the Silk Road
To the east, it lifts up the vast inland areas; to the west, it reaches the countries of Central Asia and Europe. Since ancient times, Xinjiang has been an important hub for connecting east-west commerce and trade.
On September 10, in the Urumqi International Dry Port Area, a China-Europe train full of local goods from Xinjiang left the Urumqi assembly center and will leave the Alashankou port for Germany and Austria. This is the first China-Europe express train in China to leave the country in the "railway express" mode. Running in this mode means that the customs clearance and inspection procedures of the train have all been completed at the place of origin, and will be directly released from the port, and the efficiency of customs clearance will be further improved.
Zhang Jiwei, manager of the customs declaration department of the Xinjiang branch of Xi'an Xiangyan Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., became the first attempter of the reform results. "Now I only need to fill out the customs declaration form, no longer need to fill in the customs transfer form, and the export procedures have been reduced from 6 to 5 items, which saves 2 to 3 days of time in this link alone." Zhang Jiwei said.
Faster speeds, better service, more lines... Since it was completed and put into operation on May 26, 2016, the hub and radiation role of the Urumqi assembly center have been increasing. Ma Chunlei, secretary of the party committee and chairman of xinjiang international dry port (group) co., ltd., introduced that the China-Europe train in the Urumqi assembly center has developed from the initial 1 train per week to the current 3 trains per day, and has pioneered the mode of "collective transportation", the organizational efficiency and speed of the operation have been significantly improved, the logistics cost has gradually decreased, and the goods from all over the world at home and abroad have been quickly gathered here.
As of August 2021, the Urumqi assembly center has accumulated more than 4,700 China-Europe express trains, with 21 lines, reaching 19 countries and 26 cities abroad, forming a multi-point and multi-directional train pattern. These "steel camels" on the New Silk Road have become the boosters of the world economy, bringing visible and tangible benefits to countries and regions along the route.
Across the road from the assembly center, on a land with a wide field of vision, the construction of key projects such as the railway port business and trade zone and the international express center is being promoted. Ma Chunlei introduced that around the goal of "collecting goods, building parks and gathering industries", the Urumqi International Dry Port Area will build and continue to build 40 projects this year. At that time, from the transportation node to the development fulcrum, from the logistics hub to the economic and trade platform, the function of the Urumqi International Dry Port Area will continue to improve, and its role of "gathering industries" will become more and more prominent.
"Urumqi International Dry Port Zone will become a new station on the Silk Road, and will attract more high-end service industries and advanced manufacturing industries to settle here in the future." Ma Chunlei was confident in this.
"Fire Island" creates a new business card
In the golden autumn, the "fire island" Turpan has also faded the dry heat of summer. At the foot of the Flame Mountain, the Turpan Grape Gully Scenic Area is full of tourists. In addition to tasting the grapes, visitors can visit the Intangible Cultural Heritage Bazaar and Museum, enjoy enthusiastic song and dance performances, and listen to locals tell about the magic of this desert oasis.
In recent years, from fresh food to deep processing to cultural tourism, the industrial chain of Turpan grapes has become longer and longer.
More than 90 kilometers east of the grape ditch, in the Loulan Winery in Shanshan County, Turpan City, there is a special vineyard - Loulan Mother Garden. Under the autumn sun, more than 500 acres of grapes of different varieties are full of life. Zhang Haijun, deputy general manager of Loulan Winery, introduced that this mother garden was founded in 1982 by Guo Qichang, an authority in the Chinese wine industry. At present, there are more than 20 kinds of famous wine grapes preserved in the garden, and most of them are more than 30 years old, which is the "golden age" of wine production. "This is very rare in China," Mr. Zhang said.
What factors determine the quality of a wine? People in the industry usually say: "7 points depend on planting, 3 points rely on craftsmanship." "Turpan grapes already have excellent variety advantages and unique terroir conditions, but in the eyes of Xue Feng, chief agronomist of Loulan Winery, this is far from enough." The grapes of our winery are taken care of in the traditional way, and the snow water of the Tianshan Mountains is brought through the karez well for watering, and no pesticides and fertilizers are applied during the planting process, so that the good terroir can be left in the wine. Xue Feng said.
Building a brand is a more important proposition. Zhang Haijun cited a set of figures: Xinjiang's wine grape planting area accounts for 1/3 of the country's total planting area, but the finished wine production accounts for only about 10% of the country's total output. "We have excellent production conditions, and we need practitioners to have the corresponding level and ability to make wine with heart." In the past ten years, from technological innovation in planting and brewing to innovation in management mode, we have done a lot of basic work seriously, and the Loulan brand has a certain reputation, and one wine was once the designated wine for the G20 Hangzhou Summit. ”
In addition to Loulan Winery, in recent years, Turpan has also created a series of special wineries such as Volcano WineRy, Camel Bell Winery, Toxon Zero Altitude Winery, etc., integrating vineyard sightseeing, wine tasting, tourism and leisure, etc., to promote the new business card of "Fire Island" to the world.
In the Turpan Museum, there is a vine dating back about 2300 years. This is the earliest specimen of artificially planted grapes found in China, which confirms turpan's long history of grape cultivation. For thousands of years, grapes have taken root and borne fruit in this fiery land. Between the four seasons, the sweet fruits are slowly brewed into fine wine and stories, and they have more confidence for the future.
New guests came down from tianshan
Hami and Henan, more than 2,000 kilometers apart, a so-called Eastern Gate of Xinjiang, a hinterland of Central Plains culture. In recent years, because of the counterpart support projects, there has been a wonderful chemical reaction between Yuhe and Kazakhstan.
At the beginning of the autumn semester, Sainur Hasmu, an eighth-grade student at Yuha Experimental School in Hami City, sat in a spacious and bright classroom as he wished. A 2-hour paper-cutting class once a week is one of her favorites. "This course was first opened by a teacher from Henan Province, and it was very popular with the students. Now, our local teachers in Hami also teach very well! Sainur Hasmu introduced proudly.
Aiding Xinjiang, more importantly, "hematopoiesis." Through mentor-apprentice pairing, scientific research and other means, Henan Aid Xinjiang has trained a group of young teachers who can stand alone for the local area.
In April 2020, as the 10th batch of cadres in Henan Province to aid Xinjiang, Wu Jinzhou left his hometown and came to the Yuha Experimental School and became a "mentor and apprentice" with local teacher Isa Isaac. "How to deal with the relationship with students, how to better answer students' questions, whenever I encounter some particularly specific small problems, Teacher Wu will explain to me in detail." Now many of my teaching ideas and teaching methods come from him. Isa Isaac said.
Yuha Experimental School is a microcosm of the continuous strengthening of cultural exchanges and integration between Yuha and Harbin. Cultural runjiang is being gathered into a cohesive soul casting project in one concrete and vivid activity after another.
A few days ago, 200 teenagers from Henan and Hami participated in the recording of the special program of henan television station "Great Teenagers" in Hami, and formed hand in hand partners, exchanged small gifts, and met to go to each other's cities.
A friendship that spans thousands of miles is deeply planted in the hearts of children in the two places.
Li Mengjia from Zhengzhou came to Xinjiang for the first time, and his excitement overflowed into words: "Xinjiang is really a beautiful and magical place!" We participated in the bonfire party and met a lot of Xinjiang children. Arafat Maimaiti from Hami has a strong interest in Central Plains culture: "The children in Henan invited me to the Shaolin Temple, to the Longmen Grottoes, to the Henan Museum. Hopefully, when the time comes, I can make more good friends! ”
People have always been the most important and flexible link on the Silk Road. Ni Xianzhou, a cadre of Henan Province aiding Xinjiang and deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Hami Municipal CPC Committee, said: "In recent years, Henan Has insisted on sending culture and culture, going out and inviting in, blood transfusion and hematopoiesis, promoting the people of Henan and Xinjiang to communicate with each other and rely on each other in spirit, so that counterpart assistance to Xinjiang can truly see people, see things, and see identity." ”
