Minnesota Timberwolves young star Anthony Edwards was upset after losing to the unwinned New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday.

Wolves made a perfect 2-0 start, while Brandon Ingram and other New Orleans are eager to pick up their first win of the season. In the end, it was the Pelicans who stole the away win 107-98, ultimately thwarting last year's first-round pick.
After losing the disappointing game, Edwards said: "It must have been a lesson for us, and everyone who comes here feels sweet to play with the Pelicans. We are not aggressive enough. Now we're fighting again. We have to wake up. ”
Edwards also added that he put the blame on himself, saying he and the other stars — Carl Anthony Downs and D'Angelo Russell — had to share the ball and get everyone else involved.
"We considered us to be the only member of the team. We have to be willing to pass the ball. There is no "me" in the team. The three of us couldn't beat five. We beat five people with five people," he added.
The former NBA rookie of the best performed incrediblely against the Pelicans. Edwards scored 28 points and nine rebounds to lead Wolves to a strong third quarter in an attempt to keep the score closer, while his team trailed by 21 points at one point in the second half. Downs's game-high 32 points weren't enough, and starting guard Russell struggled on the field, shooting 3-of-14. To make matters worse, the three starters contributed 61 of the team's 90 shots.
Edwards and timberwolves will face a tough away game against defending champion Milwaukee Bucks. Hopefully, the wake-up call will help them prepare for Thursday's battle in deer district.
