On October 20, in front of the pilot platform of Zhejiang Guanghao Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. in Huangyan Science and Technology Innovation Park, when asked about the daily work content, Huang Hong slightly ridiculed himself and introduced himself to reporters.

Before 2020, Huang Hong has been developing in Guangzhou, presiding over the national key research and development program project projects, the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Project, Guangdong Province's major science and technology special projects, etc., and has been selected as a provincial and ministerial high-level talent such as "Young Top-notch Talents in Scientific and Technological Innovation", "Excellent Experts" in Guangzhou, and "Industrial Leading Talents" in Guangzhou.

In March 2020, as one of the partners, Huang Hong founded Zhejiang Guanghao Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., serving as the deputy general manager of the company, responsible for the development of the company's material production technology.

Materials are developed to produce results

When talking about why he came to Taizhou to develop, Huang Hong said that Taizhou had two attractions to him, one is the relationship between the team leader and him, and the relationship between the team leader and him is also a mentor, and the other is that Taizhou has a mature industrial base, which is of great help to the subsequent product development and production.

After graduating from the doctorate, Huang Hong has been engaged in the research and development of new OLED display materials, as a new type of organic light-emitting display, OLED display materials are widely used in scenarios, and the market share is increasing year by year, at the same time, the display mode of the material is different from the traditional LCD display mode, no backlight is required, and the OLED display screen can be made lighter and thinner, the viewing angle is greater, and it can significantly save power consumption.

Huang Hong's first stunning debut in the field of OLED material research and development is the synthesis of thermal excitation delayed fluorescent luminescence (TADF) polymer materials, which not only realizes the original innovation in the TADA polymer material system in the world, but also achieves the goal of truly independent intellectual property rights of domestic OLED materials, greatly improves the luminous efficiency and stability of the device, accelerates the commercialization process of printed OLED display, and reduces the cost of OLED panel materials. This achievement has won the sixth patent gold award of Guangdong Province in 2020.

The results of deep cultivation material research and development are far more than that. In 2018, Huang Hong also invented a class of internationally leading new phosphorescent luminescent materials, breaking the international OLED material giant's long-term patent monopoly on metal complex OLED luminescent materials, "Once such new phosphorescent luminescent materials are commercialized, it will completely solve the 'card neck' problem of OLED luminescent materials, and greatly reduce the dependence of domestic downstream panel manufacturers on foreign OLED material manufacturers." Huang Hong said.

Talent development is key

Looking at the busy back of the experimenters inside the pilot platform, Huang Hong proudly introduced the OLED material technology team led by himself. There are 63 people in the team, 8 of whom are Doctors with rich experience in the display materials industry. At present, it is still continuing to introduce high-level talents at home and abroad.

Since joining the work, he has presided over the development of more than 700 kinds of organic new material products, and the team has made a systematic layout on the IP of OLED materials, applied for more than 110 patents, and developed more than 40 kinds of material amplification preparation processes, providing stable supply for downstream panel manufacturers.

In the past year, Huang Hong led the technical team of Zhejiang Guanghao Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. to achieve phased results in OLED material design, synthesis, production and purification technology, and the key performance indicators of some materials have reached the highest level in the industry, and have begun to send samples to domestic mainstream downstream panel manufacturers for testing, and newly developed OLED materials have applied for 30 invention patent protections.

When asked about the development plan after that, Huang Hong responded that he will focus on cultivating more high-level talents in the field of OLED materials, solve the problem of insufficient talent attraction of the company, and lay a solid talent foundation for the subsequent localization of OLED materials.
